Does anyone know much about Niklas Lundstrom? He posted pretty good numbers at all three levels in Sweden last year and seems to be a guy flying under the radar. Hoping we found a late round goalie steal.
With MacEachern playing for Chicago Steel next season there is a decent chance I can go watch him play. They play at EdgeIce Arena, which is just on other side of O'Hare airport where I see Peoria play the Wolves.
New rankings will be up in the next month or two. It's all on a schedule, draft review, player profiles, player rankings, etc will all be updated well before pre-season begins.

Do you have all the stats? This is all I could find.
2011-12AIK SEL 2 120 1.50 68 0.957
2011-12 Oskarshamn IK Swe-1 3 0 0 185 2.27 67 0.905
Those are some pretty damn good stats. Must have been on a stacked team though. 26-4-0 stands out the most, although the goals against and the save pct. are solid as well.
As it is going to be 100%+ again today and FA starts tomorrow thought I would do a top ten prospects.
1 Tarasenko - hands down the organizations top prospect
2 Schwartz - talented but a bit undersized, has a smooth effortless stride. Excellent hockey sense, how good will he be?
3 Cole - ready to become a regular, above average skater with good strength and some Offensive upside
4 Allen - goalies are tough to rate. Excellent rookie year, struggled the first half of last season but rebounded after Bishop was dealt. Appears to have an NHL future.
5 Rattie - Exploded last year, has another year of juniors. May be the orgs best sniper prospect.
6 Schmaltz - This years #1 pick
7 McRae - waiting for his chance, scored 20 goals for Peoria and is good face off man. May need to become a checker to earn a spot with the big club.
8 Hakonpaa - big D man who's season was derailed by knee injury.
9 Fairchild - undersized D man has upper end hockey sense and played well in limited ice time call up with the Blues. Top +- for the Rivermen.
10 Edmundson - big and tough, started slow after upper ankle injury. Must continue to improve skating and positional play. A project that the Blues hope will develope.
Best of THe Rest:
Beach - has shown that he can make a play with the puck on his stick. Can he controll his aggression? Has room to put on a substantial amount of weight. A project but could become an NHLer.
Grachev - looks like the real deal but the score sheet says otherwise. If he can't make it as a top 9 forward would he be willing to take on a checking role?
Ponich - a huge project. Skating still needs to improve and offers next to nothing offensively. Not many 6'7" D men around that can fight.
Jaskin - struggled last year but will play in the Q next year and show us if he is an NHL prospect. Power forwards are tough to come by.
2012 other draft picks - We'll see what the can do.
Grachev is so puzzling. He seems as though he should destroy the AHL with his size and very soft hands, but he doesn't. I don't know what it is with him. He doesn't lack NHL talent, though he may lack an NHL mind/motivation. I really wish he would turn the corner and become the guy the scouts thought he would be when he was drafted.
Are we doing that "everyone send in their prospect rankings and then doing our own countdown" like we were taking about, because that seemed like it would be really cool to do.

Yeah, we did a prospect poll during the last Summer. Good fun, at least for me. I can't remember if it started before or after the hf rankings come out.

It was before...assuming my memory serves correctly.
I did the polls last summer for our own rankings. I'll do them again but probably not until late July/early August - it'll give us something to talk about during the dog days of summer!

I remember last summer when the Rangers were shopping Grachev the Blues were the only NHL team interested. Perhaps with fellow Russian Tarasenko crossing the pond will light a fire under Grachev in traning camp, but this is a critical year for Grachev for sure.
On the prospect's board in the "Free Agent Invites to Summer Development/Rookie Camps" thread, there's talk of Halifax forward Andrew Ryan being invited to St. Louis' camp.
I'm fairly certain that once again there's no Blues Prospects Game at the Mills or we would've heard about it by now.

if you can watch him, that would be great, from what I have read, I am becoming really, really excited for this pick, even more so than Kurker, so any reports you could give would be excellent
I'm excited about both Wannstrom and Jaskin coming to North America. Hopefully, they won't get discouraged quickly and then stay away permanently, even once they're good enough to get a crack at the NHL.

It's probably an invite to the Traverse City tourney...which may not happen anyway die to the potential lockout.
When the Blues held a prospects camp, it was always about a week after the draft so I think it's a very safe assumption that they again aren't having one this year.
well the Bleacher Report's top 50 prospects list has been released, and according to them, Ty Rattie is a physical and rugged player that really uses his body to his advantage and may crack the top nine with his average point production and will bring a physical edge to the Blues...What. A. Joke...this list is complete non-sense in every sense of the word...I mean...arggg...just read
