Boston - Anaheim or Columbus

Im not sold on Boston being quiet this offseason, none of the remaining free agents address our PP woes, and internally no one besides Hamilton is ready now. So here is my proposal for Anaheim or Columbus

To Anaheim or Columbus

David Krejci
Jordan Caron
1st rounder
Max Sauve

To Boston

Ryan or Nash

Lucic - Seguin - Ryan or Nash
Marchand - Bergeron - Horton
Kelly - Spooner - Peverly
Paille - Campbell - Thornton

Don't think that package gets them close to Nash.

I'm not sure whether or not that is true, but regardless if it doesn't I wouldn't have any interest in giving up more for either of the two

Gets us Ryan, but probably not Nash.

If that is true, then Rick Nash will be a Blue Jacket for a looooooong time. That is a young/signed very good NHL forward (Krejci); a good prospect (Caron); a 1st round pick, and a high reward prospect (Sauve).

All these proposals have teams sending all small soft players to Anaheim

Krejci may be small but he's certainly not soft.

I wouldn't want any part of those trades though. Lose the first in the Ryan deal and I'd do it. I don't want Nash at all with that contract.

Howson will not get a prospect of Hamilton's caliber in any Nash deal.

He'll get some good-to-very good prospects, but nowhere near a potential franchise player.

The offer for Nash looks pretty fair, considering Krejci is signed for 3 years, immediately becomes CBJ best center, has nearly tied Nash points wise last couple of years, and is a proven playoff performer.

The other parts make up the gap in Nash reputation star factor.

I'm honestly, out of spite, hoping nash doesn't get traded and cbus hurts hard for it even more. he is being so overrated.

while alexander semin is nothing but a footnote it's a joke

I am not sure why people think is Ryan considerably cheaper than Nash.

I can see why people would give Nash the edge, talent-wise. But: Nash has requested a trade. Ryan has not. (If you want to disagree based on the draft interview, you've missed too much since - he hasn't.) Nash has a NTC and limits the market to a small number of teams bidding. For Ryan, 29 teams could bid.

I'm not really certain there's many deals out there that get you Ryan, but don't get you Nash, at the end of the day.

Jordan Caron is pretty far from soft, he is a power forward type of player who hits, scores, and is very good defensively. You have never seen him play have you?

Krejci isn't soft either, Suave on the other hand might be a bit soft and the first round pick is whatever they would make out of it.

So if 25% correct is good, then you hit it right on the head.

Keep in mind ducks fans said it would take massive overpayment for visnovsky. Huge grain of salt.

If howson took his head out of his *** this would be a even deal, but sadly I think he could find better from another team. I think a a better prospect than caron would be necessary. Not Hamilton for sure, but possibly spooner, koko, etc. someone with more potential. I think boston fans knows caron is a future 3rd liner. Not to mention is boston is on Nash's "list" then there is far less competition and thus they could very well pony up a bit more for him.
to be noted, I am a bit biased, Nash isn't a superstar, but he is still one of my favorite players because he clearly loves the game, as he as stuck through the Clb dark years without a peep until recently.

in fairness, if someone suggested the ducks would deal visnovsky for a pick then sign souray to a 3 year deal, would you think they were crazy.

Visnovsky is 1 season removed from a norris type season and he struggled last year for multiple reasons (russian crash, off season surgery, etc.). I think the ducks will regret this move; I think he pissed off the duck's brass by not taking the rehab of his injury/offseason more seriously.
