Had 126 hits in 2010, not bad for a guy under 200lbs.

Yes but look at the tweet I pasted from his agent, which is from like 5 minutes before I made my thread (which was merged w/ sba's).

Porter is infamous for making an Avs poster on the official forum eat worms.

He's probably an Ellis/Chewy type tweener. Depth signing.

I'm sure they do.

I'm beginning to wonder if all the injuries last year are playing a role in adding fringe depth like Scott and Porter. They'll be able to plug guys like Ellis, Tropp, Scott and Porter into the lineup when guys start falling to injury. Not a bad move.

Reminiscent of Regier adding Mikko Lehtonen and Timo Helbling as defensive depth for the 06-07 playoffs. It was reactionary. Let guys like Sundher and Adam develop on the farm instead of rushing them to the show.

Porter scored the first goal in a 5-0 win. Fan forced by the internet to eat worm.

Look guys, this isn't like courting Parise... the Sabres can handle negotiating with more than one player. Besides, Darcy explicitly referenced the trade market as the place to get the "big center" he said he wanted to add.

The Ducks must see a second-line center in Cody McCormick. It's the only explanation for signing his replacement.

Porter did score 14 goals for the Avs just a year ago. I'll assume this is just a Rochester signing, but there's some kind of a player here, right?

25 points in 10-11....thats more then what Ellis has the past 3 years combined. If this means Ellis stays in Rochester all year even better.

Rochester reaps rewards regardless Tropp and one of Ellis, McCormick, porter will likely be in the A my guess porter stays up? Ellis down? Ellis would be a great captain for Rochester although he isn't the Keith aucoin they need

The trickle down effect does always help. But Ellis, for example, is not a number 1 center. As much as I'd welcome Ellis on the Amerks, he's not exactly skilled. Porter could fill the number 1 center role, Ellis can't.

He got suspended for 4 games for kneeing Booth.

Judging by his goals(which dont really tell the whole story) on NHL.com he likes to score around the crease. Lots of rebound goals. But again, those don't show what kind of game he plays away from the puck.
