Thanks, eco. Likewise on the Pens.

A quick Wikipedia search tells me he's a scout with the Islanders.

Kings were his last stop. Was their 3rd leading scorer that year. You can guess where they were in the standings with relative confidence I'm sure.

Rather overpay a little for 1 year then give him a 2 year deal. Not a bad signing, adds some depth.

I like this signing. Good on the PK and a nice addition to the bottom six.

Twenty goals?? LOL, if he gets 20 pts that'd be good.

Depth signing of little consequence. He's long, long past his prime. A nobody 3rd or more likely 4th liner.

My Ranger fan buddies aren't happy about losing him to us, so that's a good sign.

Most Rags fans hate losing him. Scores big in playoffs, SC winner and a top notch PK guy, perfect 3trd liner. And like someone said earlier, i will take the higher cap hit on 1 yr rather that a 2 yr deal.

Here's another one for you... Joel Otto. Ahh those late 90's teams with tons of sandpaper and "jam"

He was great in a bottom six role with the Rangers last year. Hopefully he fits in as well with the Flyers this year.

Feds has never lost a Game 7 playoff game in his career.

Doesn't have much left in the tank though.

I'm not really sure how anyone could be pissed with this signing. He's a good character player, and he's not Shelley. That's enough for me 90% of the time.

1) teams he is with seem to win a lot of games.

2) Signing for one year would seem to say that the Flyers are holding back in order to make a huge impact with next years free agents.

Haha. I know I know. I thought he was a consistent 20 goal scorer for some reason.

I dont' mind this signing at all. I've always liked him. I can't remember if it was this forum or another but isn't there a guys called "bringbackfedotenko". He'll be happy his 10 year campaign paid off.

Is $1.75 mill really the going rate for a 3rd/4th liner?

I have no problem with paying HIM that. Guy is a spark plug, all around good guy. He kills penalties, and is just a hustler.
