Would be really funny if he flourishes at center and becomes at least a 60 point player.

Hope hes working on his faceoffs.
Bozak and Steckel should get bonuses for teaching him.

8 career faceoffs taken. Should be interesting to see how he manages the dot. Other than that one single aspect, I think he's well attributed for the position. Interesting.

this isn't news. BB said some time ago that it was up to his coach but he expected JVR to get a look at center
Terry is a little late. I guess the OP is too

Interesting. I'm hopeful, but not confident.

Kind of a dry humor, but I get it.

I can't really see this working. His game is better suited for wing and he hasn't played C since college. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures.
If it does work out though I'll glady eat crow.

I'm all for it, the payoff is literally huge, and all the more so if Colborne makes the club too.

I really don't like hearing this, hopefully this will only happen if we don't get a center this offseason.
Although I guess there is no harm in trying.

If he loses every draw, I'd say that single aspect is similar to a goalie who stops everything accept the high stick side which he always lets in.

Don't have the highest of hopes that he works out at centre but no harm in trying.
Where does this leave Bozak though? To be honest I wouldn't mind him being traded for an upgrade somewhere else.

Don't think this is a smart move, but I suppose it's worth a try.
Not a fan though.

Does this mean:
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
Kulemin/Kadri - JVR - Ryan
?
Grabovski traded to ANA because they are said to be looking for a #2C for Ryan.

I can guarantee you he won't lose "every single" draw. That would be pretty hard to do. But like you said, he'll defiantly have to work at it if there's any chance this works. The reason Bozak is so key on that Kessel/Lupul line is the fact that he wins a good portion of the faceoffs. Get's them playing offense as soon as possible. I don't expect much out of this experiment.

I doubt it'll work out, since he has played ZERO center at the NHL level so far. This seems like a desperation move by the Leafs, similar to Chicago trying Kane at C because they had a huge hole at 2C. Really hope it does work out, because in terms of size and skill he offers a lot more than Bozak, but I'm not particularly optimistic.
