Then they go out and get Felton of course.
Lin's going nowhere unless someone offers him a 50 million contract, which is highly doubtful.Kidd's brought here to backup Lin and mentor him.

they didnt sign Kidd with the plan of him taking over the starting role and playing 40 minutes a night.the Knicks never had interest in Felton either.

I really hope that's the case, I would hate to lose Lin. I think he can be a good point guard.

i wouldnt worry at all.the Knicks can match any offer at all to Lin.as i said earlier,it would have to be astranomical contract offer to Lin to keep the Knicks from matching it

He isn't going anywhere.

4/30 isn't even that much overpayment anyway.

Yup, not bad at all.

@basketballtalk: To be clear: The Rockets spent all day negotiating Jeremy Lin's new deal with the Knicks. How nice of them.

Marcus Camby just signed with the Knicks as well.

It's on rotoworld.com

Sign and trade. Douglas, Jordan, Harrellson going the other way. 3 years/$13.2 million for Camby.

Camby's agreed to a 3-year deal for $13.2 million with the Knicks...it's a sign-and-trade, with TD, JJ, Jorts, two 2nds and cash going to Houston.

I like how Grunwald is setting everything up in 3 years so that I believe Melo is the only one on the books. If it fails we could reset again in a couple of years.

Camby is good but he's 38 ****ing years old. He's an elite rebounder but he's not a DPOY anymore, like tons of Knicks fans on the internet have been trying to imply.

It's not a bad trade at all, since TD and Jerome won't be good. Jorts could've been a good backup, though, and we continue to hand out picks like they're candy.

We're in serious win now mode. Hope Carmelo can do it.

Knicks had extra 2nds to play with so the trade makes sense. If they can retain Jefferies, and Lin and add another scoring option like Lewis, they will be one of the deeper teams in the conference.

Solid move - Glen is compiling a much better bench than they had last year. One question though:

Who the hell plays 2 guard? With Shump out, that leaves... James White as the starter right now?

More then likely JR Smith is going to come back.

Foye was also looked at as an option. And I've also seen Oj Mayo mentioned.

I really like the Camby move. Didn't give up too much for him either. Guys like Douglas just didn't see themselves with much of a role on this team.

Camby is a solid addition to any team. It's a good move by the Knicks. I bet Harrelson sticks around in the NBA for a while. He's got some promise. If he could get tougher and meaner, he could be a modern day Bill Laimbeer.

JR Smith back for the Knicks.

Ian Begley ‏@IanBegley
J.R. Smith chooses to re-sign with #Knicks for 2-year, $5.6 million deal with a player option for 2nd year. More here: http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/stor...ew-york-knicks

I'm 50/50 on Smith, but they probably need him just do to lack of depth.

C-Chandler, Camby
PF-Stoudemire
SF-Anthony, Novak
SG-JR Smith, Shumpert (Injured)
PG-Lin, Kidd

Wonder how they are going to fill out the rest of the roster? Also can't wait to see the Knicks fill out a Summer League team since Douglas, Jorts, and Jordan were all supposed to play for them. I know JR Smith's little bro is on the summer team, probably has a good chance to make the team just because of empty roster spots. Can't imagine they match the sheet on Fields.

It should hopefully be BS, because it would be ridiculous for him to get angry like that over an offer sheet.

That's why I call it BS because it doesn't make any sense.

The Knicks letting him test the market, allowed him to get extra money.

The most the Knicks could have been allowed to offer was 24 mill I believe.

He's also a smart kid. He knows it's a business. I find this very hard to believe.
