you go into the bathroom assuming nothing in there is gonna kill you but what happens when the black bear hiding in your shower comes out and you're caught on the toilet with your willy dangling just above the bowl and your pants around your ankles?

that's why we need another top 6 player at least this offseason. someone will get hurt and someone else will under perform. we have to be prepared to handle that.

Understandable.....circumstances with mayo or sauce can tend to get messy, having to stop and wipe

Looking at some salaries on CapGeek.

Kovalchuk looks downright underpaid compared to some of these guys... Especially if we can win a Cup or two during his tenure here.

I'd agree if we had an owner and could pay that and still get us to the cap.

Right now it's us under the cap by the amount we pretty much cheated around. Once we get an owner and stuff or win a cup. I'll be down

Semin would probably be an upgrade over Parise when you consider he can score from outside of 4 feet. Having a threat like that on the powerplay with Kovalchuk is an upgrade. Then factor in a 2nd year Larsson dealin pucks to those guys without Parise being a complete Gionta passing to the goalie will make this team better.

Is Semin the same "2 way" forward? I don't know, I've heard mixed reports that he's either got great backchecking skills or that he's a lazy enigmatic Russian. wut? He's like +39920 in the past 3 seasons and that just doesn't magically happen just cause you're a goal scorer.

And **** me when we had Mogilny with Gomez we were ballin' outrageous and I don't recall Mogs playing tons of PK minutes. Now imagine Henrique with Semin and Zajac with Kovy... o ya!

I'm hard on for Semin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean in terms of AAV, not in terms of real dollars.

Assuming he plays out the contract, , it's kind of crazy.

Honestly, I'd rather just bite it this season and not sign anyone, aside from an outside chance at Doan on a short contract. Next year the FA crop looks a lot deeper. While a lot of them will get extensions, I'd rather just re-sign Sykora this season and save the money for then.

Disagree.
I'd like to ice the best team possible this season.
Perhaps it's what we have, perhaps it means a trade, perhaps it means Semin. Whatever it takes.

I'm all for signing Semin. Whose the top free agents next year? I would like to see Sykora resigned either way as well.

If your not doing w/e you can to make sure you have the best team for the upcoming season your selling your team short and admitting defeat before the 1st puck even drops.
