It sure is going to be and interesting year if everyone can stay healthy. Playoffs, here we come.

I think the best part of this... is most fans are pretty happy for us... but it seems that all the devils, Preds, Redwings and Pens fans have decided that we are evil and that parise/suter are garbage...

Funny how missing out on that big free agent changes your opinion.

Redwings and Pens fan being pissy is very satisfying, nice to see them not get exactly what they want for once.

Preds/Devils fans can be angry about it, Wild fans were mad and frustrated about Gabby leaving for NYR. Granted many got over it in a year or two, but there are still some that hold a monumental grudge.

Could not be happier about these deals! Cap hit isn't bad for either of them, and they both improve the team over all 200 feet of the ice! And then you throw in Granlund...

Can't wait to see some playoff hockey this year!

Any fan base that whines about UFA signing somewhere else really need to get a clue. It's how the business of pro sports works. MN fans who whined about Gaborik leaving non stop needed to get a clue themselves. Now complaining about not trading and letting them walk for nothing you have a point. But whining about another GM doing what he feels helps their team, just dumb.

I woke up yesterday kind of late (noonish) and turned my phone on. As I lay in bed, I hit my twitter app. The first thing I see as the thumbnails and text are loading is a ***** ton of tweets by Russo, TSN, ESPN, etc. At that moment I knew something had happened. At that SAME time, I got a text that scrolled on my bar at the top of the screen from a friend that said "Did you see, MN got Parise!" and failed to say Suter too. I quickly looked back at twitter only to see a Russo tweet of SUTER'S contract too and realized we hit the motherload! I lost my voice by 1pm! BEST 4TH EVER. I can't believe other fan bases (albiet not the majority) are saying MN will be lucky to even make the playoffs, or they look good but have no depth...SO UNEDUCATED! We have tons of depth now and have a solid defense IMO. Not above average, but average. All we need is someone like Stoner or Scandella to step up and really grow this year.

know what the best thing would be? If Spurgeon came into camp eight inches taller and 40 lbs heavier.

I know this is easy to say since I'm a Wild fan but I don't know how people can be ticked Zach and Ryan came to the Wild primarily for family reasons. How is that ever a bad thing? That is a great thing and as free agents, they had every right making that decision. Yes, maybe they gave some hope to their former teams but what were they going to do anyway? Tell them they were gone for sure? They really didn't know either way.. but once they hit the free agent market, they both had every right to make a business decision. To make a decision that they earned! They didn't owe their former teams anything. I honestly do not understand how some are so mad. It's not like either of them pulled what Dwight Howard is pulling right now. They played out their contracts and earned a right to decide where to go next. They decided to pick home or one close to home. I find it endearing, not devilish like some are claiming.

Because many of these idiots lashing out about Parise, and Suter leaving their team, or picking the Wild over their favorite team are just selfish A-holes. Any tool with half a brain should be able to see the obvious about why they came here. And if they can't see it, they need to get a life.... seriously.
