David Rundblad to the oilers

Runblad will probably struggle to make the coyotes playing behind OEL/Yandle and even Gormley poised to make the team. However, I feel that Runblad could succeed on a more offensive team that needs defenseman like the oilers. So basically I was just wondering what phoenix would want in order to trade Rundblad.

The Oilers need an established NHL defenceman, not Rundblad.

While that is true, I was thinking he would be a good replacement for Potter next season and he would have potential to be a top 4 d-man in a few seasons.

It makes too much sense, so it won't happen.

Let me guess....you were thinking Hemsky, Gagner, Omark and 3rd? Get lost.

Klefbom (who is the better of the two) will be ready in the same time frame. Pointless move for Edm.

Justin Schultz for David Rundblad...would be sweet karma to see the look on Schultz' face after everything he just did.

No reason why the Coyotes need to trade Rundblad
maybe straight up for Gagner..., but then again the Coyotes prefer a more physical center.

Rundblad does not only have value to Oilers.
Rangers D good but lefty heavy, so if put on the market expect several suitors, including NY.

I'm sure he'd love playing against the Ducks 6 times a year.

Noooooo thanks.

We've got Klefbom, Marincin, Musil and Gernat coming around the corner in the near future.

Why have another guy in the system that we're going to have wait for... ?

They've got a lot of pieces I like. Jones, Musil, Gagner, and Paajarvi to name a few.

Has Rundblad's value fallen that much that he'd be moved for Sam "8 points in one game!" Gagner?

I'm predicting Paajarvi for Rundblad straight up. Both are equally unproven and in my mind have similar value. Paajarvi would thrive playing on a line with Hanzal, while a Flefbom-Rundblad pairing would be unreal a couple years down the road.

I'd consider that trade.
