Great deal on Jackman, good deal for Perron (just hope he keeps his head up).

St Louis has something to be happy about this offseason with keeping their core players

A completely in shape and trained Perron, and hopefully a rejuvenated Stewart could really give a huge boost to our offense.
Don't forget a healthy McDonald either. Not to mention the possibility of Schwartz and/or Tarasenko making significant offensive contributions at some point during the season.

I remember him telling the media after he was drafted that he was going to make the team. Everyone just kept doubting it until the season started and he was still there. Also he has only had one injury, if people are just looking at his games played stats his rookie year he was healthy scratched alot until he improved his strength. Now time to work on Oshie.

I think it's the same deal as Johnson on the Avs. Both players have had serious injuries that affected their young careers, so they put a large value on term. In compensation, they haven't gotten quite the cap hit they otherwise could.

Nothing like a major injury to make a player want to sign for term.

As fans I think we discount the security a player gets for signing a deal with term and solid (but not topped out) cash.

Great deal for both sides.

To be fair to Perron, hit got hit by a guy coming out of the penalty box. Thornton wasn't even on the ice when the pass Perron was receiving was made.

I actually remember most Blues fans thinking he was going to make the team. Guess it depends on who you talked to.

I like this deal. Oshie will get similar money. Just hopr Perry can keep his head out of trouble

I think he was just referring to Perron's "head up" comment, meaning Perron never knew Joe was on the ice because he was looking back to accept the pass. Regardless of what your opinion was on the hit, it was terrible timing.

Perron should be a perennial 30+ goal 30+ assist player
