Bruno Gervais to Philadelphia

So there are strong rumours linking this guy with the flyers.

Right handed shot, 6', several seasons in the NHL.

Apart from that, whats the deal with this guy? Is he any good?

Much thanks from a flyers fan.

Why would the Flyers do that?

Anyway, he's not as horrible as Isles fans told us. But he's not really good either. Let's put it this way. He wasn't good enough to crack the Lightning D as a 5/6/7 guy. Is he supposed to be the replacement for Carle?

Shhhhh...

Bruno is very good Paul, he'd make a fine replacement for Carle...

Bruno was mediocre at best. Found a little groove on our powerplay unit, but other than that, not great, but not dreadful either. Seems a bit... off to me too, personality wise.

He scored way more goals and points than expected. Other than that he didn't really attract attention on a terrible D-corps so take it for what it's worth.

Dont let the goal number fool you. Take a look at each one. They were all awful goals that happened by pure chance or the goalie had his head up his ass.

If you need a #6 or #7 dman, I guess he is alright.

To his credit though, he was one of very few blueliners on the Lightning who could seize such an opportunity before the head became dislodged.

Having a few vultures on the blueline isn't always a bad thing.

Random fact: a name for a group of vultures is called a 'volt'.

Gervais is Gervais - mobile, good feed, decent hands, really started to flash a little bit on the powerplay with getting shots through from the point when we were throwing anyone on the powerplay looking for a spark. Prone to brain cramps in his zone. Makes risky passes through the crease and slot.

If its under a million, its a decent signing. You can do worse with a number seven.

Good to hear. I don't think any of us regret what we said. He was awful. The turnovers and poor defensive reads were maddening.

Gervais gets a 2 year deal.

That oughta ease the "mocking" of the Carle deal. LOL

Meh, he'll be ok for them as long as he is on the 3rd pairing with a responsible partner.

They just love our defense.

Carle, Kubina, Meszaros, Krajicek, Walker, Gervais.

And the only team in that list to lift the cup since all those teams existed has been TB. I say the system is working .
