Last year his GB rate was over 50%, now it is around 43%. Now that could one reason why his HR rates are up. I found this interesting though from April through August last year he let up 10 HR in 178 innings. That is really good HR/9 which comes in at .5. Then from September to now he let up 21 in 154 innings, coming in at around 1.2 HR/9. And the thing is he has let more up on the road than CBP.

How about we lead gang down to CBP with torches screaming for RAJ to answer questions? I doubt he will but I guess we will be able to have 2 or 3 minutes before they tase us .

Especially if they have their security team that they use during the game for people who run on the field. They would be lucky to get 1 of us!

Trade Hamels, Victorino, Pence, Wiggington, Pierre, and Blanton.

Shop Cliff Lee.

Shop Halladay at winter meetings.

Se if you can shop Rollins and papaelbon.

Think we are stuck with Chase and Howard.

If we wanna compete with the Nationals for the next 5-8 years, we are gonna have to do this eventually.

Easy there Holmgren haha. That's too much turnover in one year. Keeping attendance up, and getting a giant TV contract are as important to the team's future as getting young players. If they want to be the Red Sox/Yankees, they need that TV contract. That's something that will constantly give them an advantage over the Nationals.

I think it is going to be pretty hard to move Lee's contract. He is owed around $100 million over the next 4 years.

Someone will pay it. Teams were in on him in free agency. You could trade him with some cash at the deadline next year.

It was clear that Bastardo didn't have his stuff tonight, yet Charlie leaves him in. As soon as he walked in the run I said to my wife that he was going to toss up a meatball for a grand slam and sure enough. Truly a shame to waste Kendrick's excellent outing like that.

Unbelievable. Kendrick finally pitches a great game and Bastardo comes in and screws it up. This bullpen sucks and the offense is nonexistent.

It's amazing that ANY team could be this bad in any and every situation as this team. It's almost comical at this point.

Well, the BP part is believable, as well as the 0-fer with RISP. The Kendrick pitching a great game is less believable.

The braves stealing 4 bases in an inning. Other than that, the usual.

I really hope Ruben isn't holding onto the notion that this team has a chance like he's been saying when he made the rounds with various media outlets over the past couple weeks. It better be just GM speak for "Yeah we're done but I'll tell the fans that I think we're still in it, cuz we'd like them to still show up. All along I'm working behind the scenes to see what I can get from anyone interested."

Based on what I'm reading about Amaro, I think the MO this season and the offseason is to keep the core together and move some temporary pieces with value, like Juan Pierre this season. The offseason I think they look to resign Hamels, re-ink or replace Victorino and and replace Polanco.

I get that this season is pretty much done, but I think the core deserves a mulligan, and I think Amaro plans on giving them one. I mean, I said it before, I don't think this team has declined from a 102 win season to 10+ under .500 due to aging and loss of talent, I think it's MOSTLY due to injuries. There's no way their fall from grace is that sudden. I think Amaro gives the core another shot, and I think they've earned it. Let's face it, this season has gone this way due to injuries, not the core group under performing. I think if Utley, Howard and Halladay are healthy all year, we're in a division race right now. And I think they've earned a shot to prove they're still viable next year.

Looks like Victorino is ticked and that's why he's scratched. Walked into clubhouse, soon saw he was No. 7 in lineup, walked out wordlessly.
