Anaheim - Phoenix

I'm not a fan of either, but considering how they have top players on the block, why don't they just swap Yandle for Ryan? Both seem to have decent contracts, similar age, and could use the change of scene.

I think the value is pretty fair, but I highly doubt either would get traded to a division rival.

Because we have needs that Yandle doesn't fill.

He doesn't, nor does Ryan.

When you're on the block, you might as well.

Maybe if you add a bit on each side to compliment the needs, it might actually work.

Yandle is most definitely not on the block - he's a core member of the Yotes that moves only if an offer too good to resist presents itself.

That may happen if other teams are willing to overpay at this point and we may need to make such a move if we do lose Doan. I hope not of course.

They traded their spare top six center to Ottawa.

Yandle proposal thread responses have become the "Ground Hog Day" of the trade board.

Yandle is not on the block and does not need a change of teams.

Oh and he signed a long term contract with us. We are happy. He's not tweeting himself out of town with an expiring contract.

I would say no to this trade. I like Ryan and understand why he is upset. I'm sure we can work something out this season to keep him happy.
