Nsh- Van - Tor

To Nashville

Ryan Kesler (top 15 forward)
Alex Elder (top 15 dman)
Van's 1st Rounder
Nicklas Jensen
Mike Komisarek

To Vancouver

Weber
Tor's 1st Rounder
Joffrey Lupul
Mike Fisher
Colin Wilson

To Toronto

Luongo
Mason Raymond

Okay I know this is alot but he is the breakdown.

Toronto trades

Mike Komisarek, 1st Rounder 2013 and Joffrey Lupul

for

Luongo and Mason Raymond

(this is rumored as what van's wants for Luongo and this is what toronto wants from van's)

Vancouver Trades

Ryan Kesler, Alex Elder, Van's 1st Rounder, Nicklas Jensen, Mike Komisarek

To Nashville for

Weber, Mike Fisher, Colin Wilson

Why Nashville does this

they get a great return for weber, they finally get a #1 center in Ryan Kesler + #1 dman in Alex Elder a great replacement for weber + they get a 1st Rounder + Nicklas Jensen + Mike Komisarek for Fisher and Wilson. they add 4.5 million salary to get them to the cap floor so with this trade they add 12.75 million to help them to get to the cap floor and with only losing 4.2 million they add 8.5 million to their cap

why Vancouver does this

one they don't have to deal with Mike Komisarek contract. They get there #1 dman for the next 10-12 years. They get a great #2 center to replace Kesler and they also get a great #3 center in Colin Wilson from the Nashville + they get Lupul from Toronto to complete there top 6. also with them freeing 8.5 million that will be enough cap for them to sign Weber long term.

why Toronto does this

simple they get there #1 goalie for the future + they get Raymond to replace Lupul

I think the value is fair give me your thought?

Holy-
That would probably the biggest trade to ever happen in NHL history. I really don't know if I would do this, but valuewise it looks okay, except Toronto will complain about giving up Lupul+1st.

It just seems like such a huge trade that could work out amazingly or completely bust.

Toronto is not giving up Lupul and a 1st for junk.

In fact, this trade makes zero sense for anybody.

No, they don't. Baseless stereotypes.

Actually looks not to bad value wise at first glance but I think there's just to much players involved for it to be realistic and I don't think Toronto want's to trade yet another first rounder.

Probably meant centre, but even I'll admit it's pushing it.

Bad proposals dont apply to the Leafs more than they apply to other teams.

also this is the word out on rumors as this is what vancouver wants and Luongo is not junk he was a top 10 goaltender last year and has been a top 5 goaltender for the last 5 years do you really think you are going to get a proven goaltender for spare change.

Luongo is not junk. Luongo with that contract is junk.

Toronto does not want Luongo, and Luongo does not want to go to Toronto.

5 years ago, he had a 16 point season.

It's seems to me that you don't have much of a clue about hockey if you're serious.

He's a Selke winning, 40 goal guy.

I'm not sure where he falls in the top 35 or so forwards in all of hockey...but Kesler is a hell of a player and I'd love to hear someone argue otherwise. Was 7th highest scoring center 2 years ago, while winning the best defensive forward trophy. And he scored 41 goals, good for 2nd among centers. In 2009/2010 Kesler was 11th in scoring for centers. So 2 of his last 3 seasons he's been borderline highest 10 in scoring for centers, and this year was injury riddled but he still put up respectable numbers. Last season he was coming off an injury and then was injured again. He's becoming quite injury prone it would seem.I'd be more inclined to take the other 2 years as opposed to that one when assessing him though.

He is a hell of a player, but not top-15.

He scored 40 goals once, on a president-trophy winning team, and he still didn't top 75 points. His next highest is 26 goals.

Disagree on M. Richards and the Nuge(as of yet).

But yeah. He's still a legit 1st line centre. And is this really what we're talking about when a trade of this magnitude is proposed.
