Are we trading for Patrick Kane or Evander? If it's Evander, then you have three wingers on your top line. Personally prefer Patrick on the wing as well, but he did play centre last season. Either way, your offer wouldn't actually get either of them.
That's a pretty mediocre offer for Semin, he must be really keen to play in Montreal to sign for that. Need to add more dollars or more years to actually sign him imo.
And you appear to have disappeared Brandon Prust. Did he get sent to Hamilton too?

I must say, I like these lines. Still need help on defense. Make some more trades.

And he's cheap as ****! In a cap world these guys are priceless. With Eller and DD making pennies and Gally coming up in a few yrs, Pleks is the guy to go. That way we can sign big expensive wingers.
I also think Leblanc has the potential to be better defensively than Eller. He's shown more defensive smarts at a younger age than Eller has. His vision of the game and how it unfolds is what I think will make him a better defensive specialist than Eller will be.
About Leblanc, I see it that way too.
If his offensive skills are not enough to make him a regular then he can be a defensive cornerstone for sure. He is just so smart out there, using body and position so well, it's not perfect yet but you can see the goodness seeping through !

And the move to the wing isn't about disliking Desharnais, it's because he's the weakest of the Cs defensively. Also, I think he'd adapt better to the wings than Eller has (which is a good thing, I think he's adaptable)

But I like Desharnais, I don't think he should be traded, but why not trying him on the wings. I mean that wouldn't be the first center that change position and be successful and he was good playing on the wings the games he has done so.
Anyway great contract, I thought he would be signed for a cap hit of 1,5 to 1,8. I'm a big Eller fan he was pretty good in the playoff and he is a well rounded center with size. I predict a 40-45 pts season for him and I hope he play with better linemates and have at least 1 minute a game on the PP.
He also has a real winner attitude and good work ethic.
I don't see what the fuss is all about, 1.3M is what he deserves, nothing more, he don't even have 50 career points in the NHL yet, he's not gonna get 2.5M thrown at him like the people on the first few pages were saying.

What's funny about the complaining about Plekanec's cap hit is that if DD and Eller continue to improve, without Plek (and his contract) as a reference point, the organization will lose leverage in negotiations.
he plays with grinders for the most part with no pp time and had 16 goals. if this kid wasnt strong mentally he might not be progressing as well as he is.
what sucks this year is he will start off with less offensive help than last year since AK is gone.
