That's surprising. I'd think that the Senators would make an offer to him. He would be something with Spezza.

If Zach gets a lower body injury, his career is over. His game is all skating, he has no shot and his passing is pretty average.

Compare to a guy like Kovy - if he gets a lower body injury he basically turns into Sykora, and still has a niche as a PP specialist. And his hockey sense would still let him be a top-tier set up guy. Immobile Kovy still finished 3rd in playoff scoring.

Heatley a 40 point player? Huh?

He never had less than 53 points in a full season in his career?

I think a lot of his drop in production this year was the system he is in and getting used to it....

Another reason I don't understand why Parise went there, but whatever.

Zach has said more negativities about fans than anything. Comments about not being loud or booing PP stick out. Imagine if he was booed like Kovy was. And what did Kovy do - take it like a man, straiten up and lead the way for a near miracle run.
C or no C, but this SCF has shown that Zach cannot do it. I think he will allways be nullified in intense series. He knows it too. 5-6 years deal with contender would've exposed that completelly. That's why he insisted on lifetime contract. And noone would give that. Except non-playoff teams. Hence sudden homesick.

Seriously? Come on. This is one of the most ridiculous post I've seen regarding Parise since he's left.

Philly reportly offered him 100 million? They apparently didn't get that non-playoff team memo.

If we sign Semin, Jim might be in the market for a new TV soon after he drives a fist through his current one.

People who keep bringing up the length of parise's contract shouldn't forget we have kovy until he needs a walker lol..they got him for now and in the near future they'll deal with that when they get there. Anyway if the rumors that semin has only talked to 2 teams and were one of them is true I'm excited..kovy better convince him

Kovy being around that long is probably a good reason not to have Zach that long.

I don't think we have the money in all honesty but I think his two way game is very underrated.

I think some of the knock on him is very ignorant. Especially the not scoring in the playoffs stuff I've heard...

When a player is not scoring in the playoffs but playing an impeccable defensive game he is fine in my opinion.
