Song played after Game 2 Stanley Cup Final

It was a Springsteen song, but I don't know the name. Can anyone help?

Just watched the Scott Stevens retirement again(OH, and I'm new)

For whatever reason, I'm a wuss with that one. Niedermayer's didn't make me as sad

Granted, I've never really been able to watch the games until recently (our cable service was very poor, also work schedule conflicted). I've always been a NJD Fan, due to the fact that Hockey was the first sport I really played. Wish I had the money to play ice hockey though

It's been about a week that it's been over but we had a damn good run in the series, I can't wait to see whats in store for next year..I keep checking NHL.com to see if parise resigned yet or not . July 1 can't come soon enough so we can all find out about Brodeur.

Just wait until the Brodeur ceremony. That will probably be the hardest. Don't worry about him I think he'll be back unless there is some very slight possibility he planned to retire all along, and it waiting to announce it. I doubt that though. He's been pretty adamant about wanting to return since about January.

Anyway welcome!

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not TOO worried about him retiring. There's that slight chance that he will retire, but I'm confident that this nice playoff run gave him the "umph" he needed to return for a little bit.

I met him a few times too at the ice rink that I usually do a stick and puck at. Chill guy but can be a bit brash at times :/

He had a pretty good season in the WHL, much improved from last season. He's playing heavy minutes on a bad team, so his +/- takes a hit, but he scores a ton. Hopefully that will translate to the pro game. Probably still a few years away from any chance at making the NHL.

Jared's done a couple write-ups on him over the past year that give some promising info. He built heavily upon his last season, but he needs to add to his frame because he's quite lanky. But he WAS playing top pairing minutes, power play time, AND pk time on one of the worst teams, playing upwards of 30 minutes a night.

Here's a pretty informative read at ILWT:
http://www.inlouwetrust.com/2011/6/2...devils-in-2011

All-in-all, this most recent season got a lot of us pretty interested in how he will turn out.

So I guess we should expect the schedule for next year to come out soon? It came out around draft week (the last week in June) the last couple years.

I think Josefson will get to the next level and be a solid contributor-if he stays healthy-and that is a big if.

I see him scoring 15-20 goals and about 35-40 assists.

I would like to see Tedenby be a factor too, but he has to improve his leg strength and learn how to make defenders miss.

Asking about Tedenby is opening a can of worms on this board. Some are convinced he's a bust, others are willing to give him more chances.

Josefson is less controversial. He should be our third line centre next season, and if he stays healthy, I think he will have a productive year. I'd like to see him take a step forward in terms of offensive production, his defence is already excellent.

I want to see what a healthy Josefson can do for a whole season before I make any real judgments. He shows a hell of a lot of promise, and he's still young, so I'm ready to see what that translates to.

Still not sold on Tedenby. I'd like to see what he can do shoved in with 2 defensively responsible linemates who can get him the puck. Maybe a handful of preseason games with guys like Elias, Henrique & Zubrus.

Devils Blogs

Hey boys and girls, I'm trying to compile a list/database of NHL blogs. I want to know not only the most popular with the most traffic, but also the blogs of great quality that may fly under the radar. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Devils blogs begin and end with TG's Fire and Ice. http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/fireice/

By far the best Devils (and maybe hockey) blog out there.

Chere also has a decent one, InLouWeTrust as well. But TG's above and beyond.

What was the deal when Patty's C was stripped?

Sutter had to go through Lou with that decision/idea before it got approved I'd think, no? Was there a problem we didn't know about with Elias that Lou approved of it or was it to try and take some pressure off of him or something else?

No, I believe he's playing in Germany now. He kind of fell off a cliff after leaving the Devils.

I just drafted Elias in my fantasy league. Since it's a keeper league, people have been holding back on drafting him because of his age (probably), so I picked him up in the 5th round. Do you guys think he can have a season like the one he just had?

Thanks.

Will he finish top 10 in scoring again ? That's anyones guess but no reason with a healthy season should he fall out of the top 20-25.

I don't expect Elias to be near a P/G pace again, but I'll be shocked if he doesn't score more than 60 points. Sounds like you got decent value.
