Poor guy.
I respect him a ton for being able to make that decision.

Hang on now. Kurz never said that Moore "probably wouldnt be playing hockey next year due to his wife"
The exact quote was:
any news on moore? is wilson interested in him coming back?
by allison July 3 at 9:22 AM
Kurz: At this point I think Dominic Moore is not thinking about hockey due to his wife's illness.

So with the very upsetting news that it appears Moore will not be returning to the NHL next season to be with his wife, would it be safe to say that the Sharks need to sign/trade for an individual to fill out the bottom-six? Or am I now confusing myself and thinking that the hole that will be created in the bottom half of offense is the hypothetical space that would be empty if Handzus was bought out?
I think a lot of us are expecting at least one of Demers/Braun/Murray to be traded, which could bring us someone to fill out the third line. Although I think a lot of us would also like to see a new 2nd line winger and have Pavelski move down to the third line to add some extra offense.
Really, we should have re-signed Winnik...

Why? Moving Winnik up and moving Pavelski down would create an offensive net loss.

I meant as a replacement for Handzus, I'm assuming we don't actually get anyone to replace Pavs on the 2nd line and he stays there.

He "thinks." Mr Potato has no sources whatsoever. His opinions are worthless. He better not register on this site like Brodie so that I can't insult.

Would it really? If Winnik and Pavelski create a legitimate shutdown line that takes the bulk of the responsibilities off of the top guys like Marleau and Thornton, I would think that that creates a complete net gain up and down the lineup.

Does anybody remember game 2 of the first Series in 2009-2010, against the Avalanche? He was lights out that game; that game IMO showed his true potential. I'm not going to say he's going to ultimately reach that, or even get close, but he can do well.
He's not a 4th line scrub you should write off...

Your wife is Kurz?
Hehe Jk, seriously though Moore kind of needs to play this season to keep insurance for the family I would think... I wonder if DW is holding a spot for him as a gentlemens arrangement

What do we think TJ will be awarded?
I'd say 1 year, 800k or 2 years 1.55m

Only reason he took the Sharks to arb was his graphic designer missed a deadline
