Soooo...
I don't think Semin would be that stupid to expect KHL money in the NHL, right now. He could get there but his value is not at an all time high exactly.

Ceannéidigh is comprised of the gaelic words ceann and éidigh and can be roughly translated as: ugly-head

I don't think anyone should expect the same money in the NHL as the KHL. They will most likely always offer more.

Indeed.
I was merely replying to the quote from DegenX about Semin expecting / wanting KHL cash.
It felt abit sarcastic but I figured i'd adress it anyhoo.

What is this so called "Part Elf" I am reading? Has there been a Will Farrell sighting?
Hollywood Gets:
Kennedy + 7th (starring soon in "The Man Bear Pig: Wisconsin Terror")

Slava Malamud @SlavaMalamud
@marshaboyd I have only heard speculation as to the amounts. Not worth discussing. Can't imagine him wanting anything less than 6 mil .
So ... Malamund is just speculating on amount ... but same guy has also speculated that Syomin wants to stay in the NHL. If the other reports about term are true, then something is going to have to give.
Here's some of the bitterness I mentioned before:
Quote:
Slava Malamud @SlavaMalamud
It may end up being that Pierre McGuire has handed KHL a major talent. Medvedev would be smart to pay CAN reporters for ripping RUS stars.

If Semin wants term as suggested in prior tweets, he's not getting it from us.
No way Shero signs that guy for more than 3 years (max). 2 year offer with more money is more likely.

And isn't Will Ferrell Sutter's hero? I feel almsot sure that as part of my Sutter research I watched an "Ask the Canes" video about childhood heroes, in which everyone said "my parents" and Sutter almost jumped in his seat in excitement going "Will Ferrel!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I agree. Two years for a UFA would be a stretch for Shero anyway. Current rumors are that it's down to either Pens or Wings. Not quoting anything since it's just gossip at this point. Doubt there's anything confirmed today, anyway since it's something like 2:30 in the morning in Russia.

What I was thinking. If its between us and another team, the other team will get him.
I feel like ray makes an offer and then leaves it at that. Not a negotiator...though theres no evidence to support that statement, just what it seems like.

All I know is if we go into the playoffs with our current roster it will be an ugly Rd #1 much like this year. Surely Ray has a plan.
