Realistically what do you expect this season from the Wild?

Playoff bound or no? Who's going to have a breakout year? Who's going to disappoint? Any surprises making the team before opening night? Will any of our rookies be brilliant in year one? How about our two new free agents, what sort of season do you expect out of Suter, and Parise?

Hopefully they make the playoffs this year.

It's been so long.

Yeah, we should have made the playoffs last season, but dang all those injuries. Doubt we will go deep in the playoffs this year though, unless one of our wunderchyld's have a surprising crazy rookie season.

7th or 8th seed with the top point getter being Parise with 60 pts. Still no 30 goal scorer.

See any of our young guns having a great rookie year? I got my eye on Granlund, and Brodin myself.

With the decent firepower we've acquired there's no way someone doesn't notch 30 this year. I don't know who it'll be, but someone will step up and do it.

I'm saying anywhere from 3-8, realistically in the 5-8 range. Playoffs, who knows where things will go from there.

Granlund and Brodin are the obvious. If Bouchard is healthy I see him playing like a man on fire. Whether that means he puts up decent points is another story.

I think Heatley and Seto are due for a breakout season.

Not making the playoffs would be a disappointment. We have talent up front, so I think they just need to develop chemistry with each other.

I expect playoffs this year. I also expect career years out of Koivu, Clutterbuck, and Setoguchi. I expect Scandella to improve his consistency and start showing he is capable of a top 4 spot. I expect Powe, Mitchell, Brodziak, and Clutterbuck punishing defensemen and creating turnovers.

I expect any of the rookies who see time to follow Koivu and Parise's work ethic.

Honestly, I think Seto could put up some big numbers if he puts in the work this off-season.

As for the Aeros, I expect them to go way further in the playoffs with that stacked team this year.

It's almost a miracle they made the playoffs last season.

I think Heatley is starting to run out of gas a little. I'm expecting roughly the same as last year, even with better talent around him. Seto, I really am pulling for the dude. I really hope he has a better season than last. He could be a key to the Wild having a great year if he can live up to what we think he can do.

Honestly, I'll probably watch more Houston games this year than Wild games. Mostly, because I actually get them on t.v. and they have the kids.

With the team the Aero's will have this season, I wouldn't mind watching those games myself. But have no access to the games up here in the north.

That is the exact opposite scenario with the Wild and being in the south for me.

I think Heatley and Parise will both score at least 30, Seto will be in the 20s. The team makes the playoffs as the 6 or 7 seed.

Anything less than a 4/5 playoff seed will be failure in my eyes. I might be the only one who see's Butch having a breakout year

I'm expecting at least a 5th place finish if no injuries occur. With strong goaltending, firepower up front on our two top lines, but D needs work. We'll finish at least 5th.
