I'd like to see Lombardi pick up a nasty crease clearer this off season. Im thinking someone like Theo Peckham or Mark Fistric. What would their respective rights be worth? Who else is available?
Don't know enough about him, although he seems to have the JMFJ +/- thing going on.
Has shown he can be a decent #5 or #6 in the NHL. Pretty big, won't take crap, and will drop the gloves (6 fights last season). He was a -19 last season, and eventually lost his place in the lineup, but the season before that he was a +13 and one of the better defenseman on the team.
Thats what im concerned about, Greener gets hurt then we've got no one else, I'd rather move Drewiske and have a grittier option in reserve.

But personally I don't want to disrupt chemistry on the NHL club and we do need a guy like that in the AHL. And it will be easy to trade for a guy like that I think. But one who has a year in the NHL, looks good there and is just about ready to come up. We love to make guys like that spend ANOTHER year in the NHL, lol.
If Luongo falls through, I wouldn't mind trading Bernier plus for Gudbranson or someone like that maybe with less pedigree.

Sophomore slump + being stuck with Gragnani as his partner for half the season, tbh. (Seriously, I bet at least half of those minuses are Grag's fault.) Doubt he's going anywhere since we acquired Ott and they are "brothers", in any case.
My personal opinion is that LA can never trade again with Edmonton for the next few years. The forwards corps is very good although incomplete...I agree Dwight King would be a good fit for you guys although your first thing should be to get rid of Gagner for a Stoll or even Ott type of guy.
All LA can do is give guys Edmonton needs to finish the puzzle like goaltender or defensemen help or make their team tougher...and I don't want to do that. Lombardi has no problem making deals in conference or division but not if we finish another team's roster.
I think Edmonton should inquire with Minnesota about Clutterbuck at the deadline.

Good points. I'd actually rather keep Weber around now, though I was ready to ditch him for scraps a few weeks ago.
So is the idea to have two of every type of player in case the main one gets hurt? You're going to need a much bigger roster.
Or accept the fact that the Kings try to play TEAM toughness, and while losing Greene would hurt, they would neither lose their strong defensive game or overall tough approach to the game.

Peckham would be cheap, we have some good defensive defenceman with size in Marincin, Teubert and Musil.
I like Fistric, he's a good depth guy that plays really aggressively, just on the edge. Peckham I'm not as familiar with, and I wont judge him based on any stats because I know he's been stuck on a relatively weak team these past few years.
Drewiske is pretty expendable IMO. Wouldn't mind seeing him shipped out for somebody meaner.
