top 6 forward goes to montreal
I am just curious what would we have to give to get a top 6 forward I would prefer a LW to play with Plekenec's and Gionta
available
our 3 2nd rounders for next year
Rene Bourque
Diaz
Y. Weber
Patrick Holland
so what would we be able to get we don't need a 40 goal score but a 25-30
goal scorer
here is a list of players I think we would be able to get
Brenden Morrow
Chris Stewart
Bryan Little
Wayne Simmonds
Viktor Stalberg
Ryane Clowe
Simon Gagne
Clarke MacArthur
Danny Cleary
Troy Brouwer
I think that is enough so what would we have to give to get 1 or maybe 2 of theses players if we would be trading one of our top 6

Rene Bourque can be that LW with Plekanec and Gionta.
I really think some Habs fans are giving up on him too quickly.

I'd would do that trade makes sense for both sides both are coming out of injuries so I would do this trade but I would prefer if was straight up tho

I haven't heard any rumors on the subject but I'd guess Minnesota wouldn't mind moving Heatley's contract...

yeah but if some how we can keep him and bring a top 6 I think he would be great on the 3rd line. I would love to get Morrow from Dallas he would be great in the 2nd line with Plekenec and Gionta just imagine our top 12
Patches-DD-Cole
Morrow-Plek-Gionta
Rene-Eller-Armstrong
Moen-White-Prust
montreal would no longer be the push over team our bottom has alot of touchiness that can grid teams out. if montreal would make the playoffs they would be a very hard team to play against
I just feel with Morrow he has one year left on his contract that would give montreal the option if they want to resign him or bring Alex Galchenyuk up or wait until Gionta leaves in 2 years to bring Alex Galchenyuk up

Morrow has been healthier and more productive recently, is paid less this year and is only signed for 1 year. Even if he turns into a pumpkin, he doesn't drag on the cap like Markov would if he didn't ever fully recover, and the outlay of 4.1m vs 11.5m makes Morrow more valuable IMO. I expect Habs fans disagree considering the results Markov would get if he recovers fully. It would be a high risk move for both sides.

But Heatley can score more than 2 goals in a calendar year.

yeah but I would not want heatley's contract too much for a 30 goal scorer at best that makes 7.5 million a year

You aren't going to get a 30 goal scorer for bit parts.
Unless:
1. He has a TERRIBLE contract
or
2. NMC/NTC and Montreal is the only place he will waive to (see Gagne deal)

Mason Raymond
What nucks fans want for him?
He could play 2nd/3rd line and we could problably have him for not much.

i think if la signs doan ( rumoured to be interested in signing him ) Gagne could be available. A 2nd , ahl 2nd line winger and ahl backup goalie We need to replace people leaving Mancheaster might be enuff to get the deal done.

We would want bigger bottom 6 players (Think the Habs would want to hold onto them though)
or a dman

I wouldn't mind moving Gagne actually if we got a decent return for him....We wouldnt get a 1st or anything, but a 2nd and mid prospect and im in....

I think I might rather have Bourque than the bottom 4 on your list.

Habs should just sign Kostitsyn. Proven to score 20+ goals with Plekanec/Eller, likes playing in Montreal, costs no assets.
He's a useful player that's been given a very bad rap (lazy/partier) by fans and media that is undeserved.
