Yuen will prove to be a steal in the 4th round. I can see him being a very good #3 or 4 shutdown type defenseman that is reliable in his own end and capable enough offensively to chip in. Solid puck mover as well.
Finally Lowry got in and I can finally vote for someone else!
Went with Yuen. I do believe Redmond is underrated and I'm looking to see improvement from him this year, but the truth is he's pretty old and to be bluntly honest his potential is a bottom pairing/fringe-NHLer.
Yuen has the upside of being a very solid defensive presence. He doesn't show outstanding offensive potential, but his skating is exceptional, so there's something to work with. I see him going past the bottom 4 moniker and potentially becoming a Scuderi-type defensemen - someone you can throw on the top pairing, who won't put up a ton of points, but is just so solid in every facet of the game that it's totally merited.
I would have also voted Yuen over Kulda for what it's worth.

Redmond's skating is very good and he is very high in character/leadership. I'm not concerned by his age either. He was an all star in his first AHL season, so it's a good start to his pro career. IMO His falloff happened because of conditioning (mentally, physically). Going from a 40 game schedule like the NCAA to 80 games like the AHL is usually a difficult adjustment for 1st year players. I actually think he has top 4 upside, but could also be a bottom pairing at worst. I like both Redmond and Yuen more than Kulda.
Captains were selected prior to the game on Monday. Defenceman Zach Redmond was selected as Captain, while forwards Mark Scheifele and Carl Klingberg were chosen as Alternate Captains.
Went with Yuen, like his upside over Redmond. Kosmachuk is in that grouping as well, but I have him behind Yuen and Redmond. After those 3, there is another huge dropoff.
For the add, um Connor Hellbuyck I guess.
