Would Detroit fans accept giving a second round choice for him?

No, but given his track record, Ken Holland probably would =/

Mursak is not really soft. He is a speedster who can grind. He has speed comparable to Helm (hes probably the second faster player on our roster). With more offensive skill. Hes an adequate grinder but he is really more like a less talented Gaborik. Would be nice to seem him score more but there is a good chance he will never pull it together.

he's been in Canada since he's 16 with Kitchener. he has the ability to become streit 2.0 - has his shot and puck handling abilities. he needs to get confidence and smarter positionally in d-zone because he's 5'11 200

Since he's actually Veb-er they should call Buffalo

Rumours from a reliable source have some merit.

Rumours from an unreliable source is ********.

Weber for a late 2nd in 2013? Sure. Weber for less? Meh. Weber has potential but there is a logjam at the D position in montreal. I trade him if there's no other trade available to give him ice time after training camp.

A good deal for both sides? Weber may or may not be good enough but at the very least, he is the type of player that the Wings could really use. Frankly, I don't see what Mursak brings to the Habs. A small right-winger. Just what the Habs don't need more of at the moment.

Added to that, Mursak has not enjoyed even a glimmer of success at the NHL level. Even in the AHL, Mursak would be redundant, at best. Is he an upgrade over Gallagher? I doubt it. Palushaj? Leblanc? Even Patrick Holland outstrips him in the depth chart.

A player on the Wings that would interest me is Tomas Jurco. I think that a fair deal would have Weber going back the other way along with Danny Kristo. Kristo, now 22, played for the US in the WJC two years in a row. Last year he had 45 points in 42 games at UND.

MOD EDIT: Not a good enough source to keep as a rumor, but a "Weber to Detroit" proposal makes sense, so let's keep it as speculation and discuss it as such, okay?
If they give Xavier Ouellet for him.... YES !

Keep dreaming. One teams very good prospect for another teams not-so-good spareparts (i get that Kristo and Weber aren't that bad, but the wings certainly need quality, not quantity right now. They have plenty of guys in the Kristo mold right now)? Don't think so. The first thing the wings need to do is getting rid of some guys on theyre roster, namely guys like Eaves, Miller, Mursak, Emmerton. Guys that are in the same kind of situation on the wings as Weber is in Montreal.

He's really fast... that's all I got. Him and Kindl are our most overrated prospects.

Kronwall- White
Quincey- Weber
Kindl- Smith

That's because you forgot to add Ericsson to the 2nd pair. Weber will probably play with Quincey to balance the "inexperience" on either line. So it should read:

Kronwall - White
Ericsson - Smith
Quincey - Weber

Of course, this is barring a trade.

Didn't they get some signings before anyone else in the past? I think I remember them being the first to announce that JF Jacques signed with the Ducks last year.

Weber can play forward as well. Spent some time on the 4th line.

Not too bad for a 7th Dman or extra forward. Hope we can get a 2nd for him.

With the glut of forwards on the Wings roster, I doubt Weber would ever play there in Detroit unless half the team caught the plague in both Detroit and Grand Rapids.

Why would we trade for Weber when we can just sign Colaiacovo (whos better and more proven)?

Montreal - Detroit

http://www.danslescoulisses.com/site...-dadresse.html

Read this yesterday. Rumor about a trade between Montreal and Detroit, including Yannick Weber of the Montreal Canadiens. No further details known yet.

Anyone else heard about it?
