I mean...if you thought a core of Crosby/Malkin/Staal/Fleury was hard to keep together then wait till a few seasons from now.

2. NJ might potentially lose both Brodeur and Parise this off-season and they probably will. Kind of up **** creek without a paddle there. I see them doing a lot worse next season.
NJ always looks to be dead in the water after losing top-name players. They're like the Borg, though. They just assimilate other players from elsewhere and keep on keeping on.

Spain may have their first NHL player ever in a few years... at least Ander Alcaine has been invited to the Maple Leafs' prospect camp. He played for Briançon in the French top division last season (that team has just signed former Flyers prospect Dave Labrecque, btw... and they also have Olli Jokinen on the team, though it's not the penalty shot missing man we all love).

Jordan Staal extended--10 years, $60 million. Same deal he rejected in Pittsburgh

Bettman has reduced the suspension for Raffi Torres with four games, from 25 to 21 games. He'll only miss the first 8 games of the upcoming season now (as well as all the pre-season games).

Nick Kypreos ‏@RealKyper

#Coyotes Brett MacLean is in stable condition and remains in I.C.U. He will undergo further tests to determine cause of his collapse.

------

That's good news, hopefully it's something treatable and didn't cause any damage.

Anyone who thinks Schneider is a lock to be a great goalie is an idiot..

playing 2/3 of your games against crap teams =/= great

I could win 20 games playing those teams

What the heck is gong on with this nude sporting trend?? So now the NHL joins in...I think Jeff Carter feels slighted especially considering he was referred to having the body of a Greek God ....

Pierre must be loving this...

Unfortunately, it's Achilles.

Hey guys, quick question about my keeper pool.

I have made an offer to one of my other members which was Parise, E. Kane for OV and a 1st. The only reason I would do this is because I have Couturier and I want to try and find a way to keep him.

Realistically, what do you guys see Couturier reaching next year for a point total?

Our keeper pool you only protect your top 10 guys, I have Giroux and Crosby and I want to add one more prolific score (ie. OV).

Flyers are my 2nd favorite team so part of me wants to keep Coots because of the fan in me.

Couturier's an amazing player, but right now he's stuck behind a logjam of centers (with some even more centers like Laughton stuck behind him) so he won't start to reach his offensive potential for a long while. Offensively, he's a long-term player.

I love the main boards

From an avalanche fan : Couturier wouldn't crack their lineup because he is a 4th line player

edit : also said landeskog was better defensively
