Profit wise: Toronto

Fan support: Montreal probably....

Best atomosphere: Winnipeg or Chicago IMO. The crowd brings Winnipeg to life.

The ACC was like that, but now its all business people who don't even watch hockey, and I think it holds an impact on the leafs, playing in an arena where the only noise comes from the upper decks filled with the real fans. The lower deck is as quite as a morgue... And Im starting to know people by face when I see them on tv in their suits with their season tickets their company forced on to them, looking bored

The Phillies have dominated local tv ratings and attendance numbers the past couple years. That doesn't make them among the best MLB cities.
I have no idea where to find something like that

I did find something that said Boston actually took over for most local viewers. Pens still had a higher rating.

Keep in mind, my argument is that Pittsburgh is towards the top overall and is the best of the small market cities. The Steelers alone have to get us in that conversation I would agree that the best overall sports city is Boston.

'Nucks Tops In NHL Sellout Streaks

This list surprised me. Here's some actual facts instead of speculation.

As far as NHL goes, only one US team ranks in the top 20 North American active sellout streaks (Pittsburgh)

Given that 5 Canadian NHL teams are in the top 20 of all sport sellout streaks, that says a lot about the fan bases. I'm surprised no Vancouver fans have chimed in, as this market is hockey obsessed and it shows with 400 straight sellouts.

Pittsburgh doesn't even have an NBA team. Sorry, but I don't think you can even be in the running for greatest sports city without representing the 4 major sports.

Which is reasonable if people can concede that Pittsburgh is the best small market sports city. Because this is serious business

Buffalo fan here, and I love the way the city supports our teams.

But discounting that, I vote for Pittsburgh. PNC is stunning, and the people flat out love their teams. That being said, Heinz is a complete dump, and I wish the city would support Pitt a bit better (as in, at all).

Overall, the best sports city is a competition between Philadelphia and Boston, but Hockey city, Montreal, Toronto or Winnipeg.

Usually, in these polls, sports, in general, Detroit, wins.

The yanks were selling out in the early 90's? the sell out streaks especially for boston (sorry fellow boston fans) or some other locales is pure garbage. Its ticket sold not ***** in seats.

Best NHL City: montreal and toronto

Best American NHL city: NY, Philly, Buffalo, Boston.. not in any particular order and tends to fluctuate in every city depending how good the team is. OR in the bruins case. How little the management gives a **** about its team and worries about beer and pretzle sales.
