I'm not too concerned with losing the size of Jagr and JvR because neither really utilized it well. Granted, Jagr was still good in board battles and protecting the puck, he certainly wasn't physical. I feel we should be pressing to sign Doan, he'd be a great acquisition for this squad after Jagr.

Jagr, Carle, and JvR hit totals last season combined: 106

Schenn and Doan combined: 475. Plus it opens the door for Brayden Schenn and Couts to be played more, as well as Voracek, Simmonds, and Sestito...more size.

Yes I know hits don't mean everything, but with our recent need for big wingers...just being big doesn't always do the trick, especially not in an uptempo forechecking game that Lavy has us playing.

Thanks. I've had a few unintentional ones over the years as well...

(The best one I've heard was a commentator at the Oxford-Cambridge boat race who called out: "Ah, isn't that nice. The wife of the Cambridge President is kissing the cox of the Oxford crew".)

That must have caused quite a row.

No thanks. Let Simmonds continue to fill his frame and this aspect of his game. Let's not give him a set back in developing into the type of player Knuble once was.

I love every aspect of this post. Jvr specifically I expected to use his size more. He seemed too soft on the boards
