First of all, nobody agreed on anything......saying "we at least want back" is not saying this is all it will take, secondly don't kid yourself, there is another team in the mix with a better deal. I think Brett can be convinced to go where he can win.

I'm pretty sure the family wants Brett to play with Nick in his final season in the O.

He will be in Peterborough. Family has been working on making it happen for a year. Just a matter of cost and negotiation.

This is great news, thanks a lot! Looking forward to the Petes having some forward depth next year!

Also I remember hearing that Brett Ritchie was attending Gary Roberts workout program this summer... He may come to camp in extremely good shape and hopefully that leads to good numbers!

if we get ritchie we will have big time depth on offence with atleast 3 lines that can score. and a defence that will be very good. if we ad another stud too are back end look out.

I agree with what your saying but with all the spending we have done, I'd want a 93 who will be back as an OA. And we'd have to give up a Varga/Thompson because we soon might not have any 2nd's left

This was posted on the petes board... Hope this helps.

Saw most of the U-17 - Teams were pretty evenly matched, scores were close for the most part. Cornel and Nigro Team Red was 0-4 - Maguire and Stefano Team Orange 2-2, Racine Team White 3-1. Racine's team (White) won the week with an OT win over the Black Team. - Cornel scored a pretty Shoot Out goal in the consolation game. Racine looked good, he scored three in the four games - his goal in the Final game was a bar down rocket. Maguire is gritty as hell - took a bad hit - shook him up, but he returned and played well, not afraid to mix it up and he scored as well. Not much to offer on Nigro and Stefano. --- McDavid is fun to watch, worth the hype for sure.

Opps, yeah your right. I guaruntee Mathers won't be happy as a 13th forward... But honestly that's what he SHOULD be.. Let's flip him to london for picks

I totally agree!! make sure he's out of our conference. And really he is built better for the west than the east. Not sure how he's going to make out with new fight rule

10 fights and there is an automatic 2 game suspension this year. Not sure if its more games once you've been suspended once. OHL is cutting down on fighting

Your only aloud 10 fights? So does that limit how useful guys like Mathers and Blicke will be.... I'm not a fan of that rule because if a team knows the opponents tough guy is at 9 fights they will be all over the team trying to get him to snap.

Well, there was also serious talk re banning fighting completely. That will also come no doubt, sooner than later.

The game gets dirty if someone doesn't have to awnser for his actions. Stick work would be at an all time high because they know that nobody can do anything about it..
