Not really anymore. The going rate for AHL vets is going up pretty fast.

And that doesn't count AHL deals. Some probably make in that neighborhood as well.

Is there a max amount for the AHL a player can get on a two way deal?

No, but most teams just give a player a one-way once they get to a certain point.

And I always forget about the veteran re-entry exemption, which Mancari unfortunately meets the qualifications for, so ignore what I said before about not seeing him up here.

What is the veteran reentry waiver exemption? Does that mean he wouldn't be put on waivers if he gets called up?

I think playing at least 320 games between the NHL and AHL makes a player have "Veteran" status which exempts them from re-entry waivers only.

Good depth signings. I hope to god we don't have to see Mancari back up here with the Sabres...BUT BUT BUT.....if we did because of injuries and such...these aren't bad guys to have step in and play a few games here and there on a 4th line.

I liked Porter on the Avs. He can be a real tough guy to play against on honestly. A real workman-like attitude
