Not really sure if this is the right forum and this thread can be deleted or moved if necessary, but I was posting on another forum and there was some discussion of who is more valuable to the Oilers.
I think it is RNH->Eberle->Yakupov based on team needs and I was just wondering if Oiler's fans or any others agreed.
Fantasy value atm though is RNH/Eberle/Yakupov just cos Yakupov's not done anything in the NHL yet.
I expect the others to be superstars while Eberle is gonna fluctuate between 1st liner to star....I don't expect him to be hitting 80 pts every season.
The one danger I see is that Yakupov doesn't get off to a great start while Eberle is putting up 70+ pts and the team treats Yakupov as a trade asset. Gotta give him at least a couple yrs, Yakupov's potential is 100 pts or more. Eberle's value atm can land a no1 dman or one yr + the rights to a certain pending RFA dman. A package of Hemsky/Gagner+Omark+whatever contrary to whatever Edmonton fans will say is not gonna get you that type of dman.
For Edmonton I think it's Eberle > Hopkins > Yakupov
Eberle is so damn smart, so damn clutch and figure he's likely to spend his entire career with Edmonton.
Hopkins is the center we've craved for years. I wouldn't be surprised if he was happy to stay in Edmonton for a long time either because him and Eberle seem to naturally have magical chemistry.
Yakupov is money.
For the NHL I think it's Hopkins > Yakupov > Eberle (On these boards)
Hopkins is a budding first line center. Nothing more.
Yakupov is an amazing athlete with tons of offensive upside.
Eberle is a 2nd line forward... seriously. That's pretty much how I feel half the people on HF view Eberle. It's insane. In the polls section "the people" took 1-way forward Phil Kessel far ahead of Eberle.
RNH is the best. Centre, smart, slick, skilled. He just has it. So crafty. Will be a superstar.
Eberle. I stopped doubting him 2-3 yrs ago. He is just incredible. I always think, "well next year his numbers will drop," but he continues to not only impress, but blow expectations out of the water. Not sure what his deal is, or how he does it, but I like it.
Yak...I think he is more talented than Hall and brings alot of the same characteristics to the rink. Wildcard. I would trade Hall before him at this point, which already says a ton. Very excited for him, but can't put him ahead of the others after watching them in the NHL.
