Wait, we suddenly care about whether or not Cullen is bothered by losing an "A"?

That dude should be far more worried about who's going to want to bother with him if he disappears for another 2/3rds of a season....

On topic, though. Zach? Absolutely, the guy just captained a team to the SCF's. Suter? Between him and Heatley? Without having seen Suter on the ice for our team... I would've kept it with Heatley.

In all honesty, though, this seems like a whole lot of hubbub for something that should be pretty minor.

I am happy with it... it will look great on my chest Thursday night.

I am wearing a t-shirt to the scrimmage and will be walking out with a Parise sweater.

Red or Green ????? I like the greens better but I am yet to own a red. AHHH !?!?!

For Parise, go green and add the C, it'll last longer

I wonder how many people are taking their newly bought jerseys back to the Hockey Lodge to get A's sewn on.

Thank you....

Hearing "Assistant" Captain is almost as annoying as "resign".

I think it depends on the team honestly. Some people do call them assistants.

Didn't see this topic when I asked the question over on the line combos topic, but....

Would you guys expect any friction from this decision in the locker room, as it kind of looks from the outside that management made the decision to make Parise and Suter the alternate captains instead of leaving it for the players to decide (especially if they did it without player input)?

I didn't know there was much of a difference with Alternate and Assistant. Now I know.

From what I know I think you have to have twos A's in the line-up every game and you don't have to have a C in the line up.

Speaking of the greens, I noticed something about the Wild's free agents and picks this year...

Green.

Are the Wild switching to the greens as the regular home jerseys?

We had this discussion last year, too. The question then was if they're trying to transition to the greens as the primaries, but they still use the reds now so nobody really has any damned clue.

Minnesota fans just like to worry about something i guess, even supposed issues with whose wearing a letter on their jersey. People, you don't "need" a letter to be a leader in that room, people still know Cullen and Heatley are leaders, they don't need an A to validate that, nor do they care, they just want to win.

After the fine job Parise did with the Devils captaining them and Suter, no reason they shouldn't have A's. Great choices, and this should help Koivu aliviate any concerns people have about his wearing the C with guys like this in the room with him leading.

I think people put too much stock into letters as a whole.

Players know who the leaders are, its more marketing than anything.

Yeah, I'd like to see the Wild dump there Xmas sweater and their road white sweater. Have the green/wheat be their standard home sweater and make an inverse wheat/green be their road sweater.

after finally being able to see the press conf. I am getting a green sweater, no doubt about it... it's just too damn sexy. This will make the GF happy, she now gets a green Clutterbuck LOL.

I think it will be rocking Thursday night at the X due to this AMAZING summer we have had. I hope Parise and Suter will be there, earning their "A's" LOL.

Couldn't agree more.

Cream / Wheat is the best color choice for this team as an alt. or home jersey!!!!

If they can get that done in the next two years and have a winter classic here, I will have Wild sweaters to wear every day in the week

Red is the best sweater we have and one of the best in the NHL! We will be lifting a Cup one day in those sweaters and can't wait!

I hope so too. His videos made all us Sens fans a little happier after the ****ing all-star screwed the team over.

I'm sure he is pretty angry about losing his A, but he can suck it up. He'll finally be on a team that has a chance since leaving Ottawa.

Don't believe so. They've been using the greens as the "give out" jersey for the past 3 years and despite phasing out the red in other aspects (i.e. development camp is "Team Green" v. "Team White"), the Iron Range Red is still the primary home.

No we wont. Teams get to pick one jersey to play in during the playoffs, and I have no doubt that we will be going to the playoffs in our greens.

Red still the primary home color, teams will wear their primary home/road colors in playoffs.

Right, which is why the Sharks primary color is still teal, yet they wear their black jerseys in the playoffs every year.

The main board thread is getting ridiculous.

Maybe it's just me though.
