I'm pretty sure there's some thread about free agency....

Would be cool to get him depending on money/term. Though, I don't think he wants to be asked "Do you hate French people" 60 times a ****in day.

Canadiens called Terry Bross (Lagardere Unlimited) for his client Shane Doan. Bross said that Doan has interest for the Canadiens.

Per Renaud Lavoie on Twitter.

there's obviously a thread for this.

Thing is, not everybody looks at that thread 24/7. when its somewhat bigger news than the usual blah, i appreciate a fresh, bolded headline.

2 Years max. I don't think he'll want to come here anyways for 2 yrs. He probably wants term, something like 4 years so he can retire wherever he signed

I'd take him on a 1-year deal, two years if the dollars are at a discount even though signing him means shifting Cole to LW to fill the real hole in the top-6. Multi-year 35+ deals scare me what with the players that age being well into the decline stage of their career and the salary counting against the cap if they retire.

Doan prefers to stay in Phoenix but needs assurances from NHL on Coyotes fate -- Looking for 4/5 year deal at around $6 mill per

Also

John Gambadoro ‏@Gambo620
Coyotes Captain Shane Doan expecting to listen to offers tomorrow -- San Jose, New York Rangers, Boston & Pittsburgh are at top of list.

I don't expect Doan to come here at this stage of his career he probably wants to go to a contender if he doesn't stay in Phoenix.

Hence why I created a new thread...I feel the same way...but I guess some people just need to nit pick about everything But if the mods feel that it should be moved...then its all good!

He's said he's "interested" in Vancouver, Pittsburgh, Detroit and I'm sure a bunch of other teams too.. be nice to get him but I'd say there is little chance we do get him.

If true, then suddenly I'm not that interested. If he was 30, absolutely.

Hmmm I don't want Doan at 4-5 years at 6M per...he's 36 in October.

Also based on that age I'm sure if he leaves PHO, he's looking for a cup contender.

L'agent de Doan me dit aussi que le CH s'est montré intéressé, mais qu'il n'a déposé aucune offre. #Habs #UFA

Doan's agent says that the Habs have shown interest, but they haven't given an offer.

How about relaxing, and just say it together:

In Bergevin I trust.

Let's be positive. The length and size of the contract is pure speculation. It's all speculation. So let's just stay positive here!!
