Don't even make proposals. You won't want to pay the price to get him out of Vancouver. Unless you have someone better at digging pucks out of corners and going to the net for the Sedin and kill all our penalties. Otherwise we probably don't need it more than Burrows.

didn't read the op but good luck!

Burrows is one of the biggest fan favorites on the team, well liked in the room & has scored SO many clutch goals for this team.

He's inexpensive, hard working, clutch, passionate, great hands, gritty and is a fan favorite because he's paid nothing. If he makes it clear he doesn't want to play for the Canucks and won't even talk to them about a possible extension he'd be traded.

Yeah, but there's zero chance that Burrows gets traded. He's so valuable to the Canucks that MaxPac is what it would take. If Gillis was offered MaxPac for Burrows, I think that he'd even hesitate for a second. If the Sedins were offered for Gionta + Gomez, Bergevin does it in a heartbeat. Certainly not comparable.

Well, there you go then. For what Burrows brings to the club relative to his pay, there are very few players comparable. It really is a "stupid overpayment or nothing" situation.

Burrows is my favorite Canuck since Smyl and Rota.

Burrows and Kesler were money when together, now Burrows fits with the Sedins like a glove. Interesting that what ever line he goes on clicks.

$1.6 million 33 goal scorer > $2 million 28 goal scorer.

RFA > UFA

23 > 31

If Pacioretty ever got offered up for Burrows by Bergevin I'd want him fired immediately..

Agreed from both sides.. I bet the Bruins would love to get their licks in against Burrows 6 times a year though if he became a Hab..

I had to throw in the 2 periods there to hit the 4 character max.

I agree with you though, and if you could eliminate the bruins every year for the next 40 years that would be great.

Wait, last year, while Subban contract was a mere 875 000$ i suggested Subban for Burrows and no Vancouver fans was interested.

And now Suddently you would accept Subban for Burrows?

Burrows would be Montreal's best forward and has the ability to get $6m on the open market. Hopefully we can get him re-signed to around 5

Great, then keep them. Ask Kings fans about Cole.

Is this a joke? Gomez is an 80 point all star, and one of the best playmakers in the nhl. Why would you trade him for a finger biting, hair pulling plug who wouldn't score 10 goal without the Sedins??

You're making it seem like we want a biting diving sissy. And what do Kings fan think of Cole? "Oh look that Erik Cole guy scored more goals than anyone on our team"...is that what they would say? Why the HELL would i care about what the Kings fans have to say about Erik Cole? Do they even know if Erik Cole plays hockey?

He's easily better than Ian Cole, but Gomez and Gionta are all better. I don't know why anyone would want the biting diving sissy. I guess we'll have to keep him. Gomez is too valuable

The ignorance is strong with this one.

He played there. He stank. He couldn't play in the west again. We don't want him.

So a biting, diving sissy? Why did you come in here then? Just to post this? Stellar, duly noted. Troll on.

Cole is about as inconsistent as they come. He may have scored 30 goals this year, but by the trade deadline next year I guaran-damn-tee that Habs fans will be calling for his head.

Argument can be made for Pacioretty but I still take Burrows' elite two way play
