Alex Burrows to the Habs would be perfect.
Exactly what they need.
Maybe they can bring Ribero and Kovalev back

Bloody hell - hate the Habs but - Burrows?
Bring back Lafleur, Gainey, Robinson, Cournoyer, Shutt, Lapointe...
Good and tough.

He is an agitator, he excels at pissing other people off for the benefit of his team. Clearly it has worked on you.

So just because he plays on the Sedin line he's leeching off them? The Sedins broke out once they started playing with Burrows. Coincidence? I think not

Burrows has averaged 50 points over the past 5 seasons (before that he was playing on the 4th line because he was new to the league). Cole has averaged 44.

You add that to Burrows`elite defensive play as well as his play in the playoffs (don`t look at numbers, he has scored some huge goals for us) and it`s not even close.
RK TEAM GP PPG PPO PCT SHGA PPGA TSH PCT SHG

2 Montreal 82 43 301 14.3 8 36 315 88.6 10

6 Vancouver 82 57 288 19.8 4 40 286 86.0 7

------------

Our PK is elite - but let's not look at real numbers, let's just remember what makes us feel all fuzzy and warm.

Still waiting for a real proposal for Burrows to shoot down though

Burrows+(big +. Probably some of the futures we get in a Luongo Deal and more) for Max Pac?

Not that I would do this, its poor asset management, but value wise its probably right.

What exactly does this prove other than the fact that MTL, as a team, was slightly better than Vancouver on the PK?

Do you know what irony is? We are talking about this guy http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=35409 he has never played for the Kings but thanks for proving how ignorant you are.

Argument can be made for Pacioretty but I still take Burrows' elite two way play
And speaking of ignorant thanks for showing you know nothing about Cole. He was probably our most consistent forward all year and he was a threat to score every game as well as playing physical every game. He also scored 35 goals playing with two players in their first full seasons. Burrows scored 28 playing with two art ross winners.

Lets trade our 23 year old 33 goal scoring power forward for a 31 year old who scores less playing with better players. I don't care that Burrows plays pk, we have Plek, Gio, Moen, Prust, Noke, Eller, Bourque and Armstrong to do that.

I would trade kesler before I would trade burrows.

NO joke, Not saying the value is close, but just in what burrows brings.

He is elite as a PKer
He brings a gritty, annoyances play to his game that gets under the skin of players
He scores goals like a mother
He has by far the best cap hit in the NHL at 2m
And he is by far our most CLUTCH player, and is a playoff beast. Nobody scores bigger goals then burrows for vancouver.

For Gillis not to hang up on you guys, the deal would need to look like this:
Pacioretty for Burrows+
Galchenyuk+ for Burrows
Subban for Burrows+

The + being B level prospect and 2nd or 1st.

Yeah, in other words, it will require an overpayment you guys do not want to make.

He's on a cheap contract and is a heart and soul guy who can put up 25-30 goals while playing top PK minutes and play against the toughest competition.

The thing is, we've heard from Canucks fans that loves Burrows but maybe Gillis would ask far less for him.

His value is way to high for Vancouver to consider moving him. Perfect fit for the Sedins, fantastic PKer and defensive forward, extremely low cap hit, great character guy and fan favourite.

Not in this lifetime.

Which alternate reality is this? Burrows isn't worth any of those players straight up let alone having to add.

So the executive summary, as ought to have been expected, is that Burrows is too good/expensive for the Habs to get.
