I think Calgary (Feaster, not fans) may be interested in Connolly though. He hasn't work out in Toronto, but (assuming TSN has players positions listed correctly) Hudler is now your best center (or does he play wing now?) and Connolly would have the 2nd highest points total of all centers on Calgary. Or do you plan on keeping Cammi in the middle?
HF fans will be irate, but I think Connolly will garner some serious interest this offseason. Teams like Anaheim and Chicago are in need of a #2 center and both could be interested. And with how far most teams are from the cap still, he can easily slide into most teams line ups.
are you joking, connolly? why would calgary give up jokinen to replace him with connolly who hasn't played a 75+ season since 2003, plus hes around the same age as olli too
I actually think that outside of Baertschi, Jankowski and Gaudreau, Reinhart is our only other prospect that there is 0 chance of being moved.
I wouldnt want Grabovski's 5.5million or close to it. Definitely dont want to move Kipper for him either, not something that would work for either side

When I said that I forgot about you guys just letting Jokinen go. Thinking about it now it's clear you're going in a different direction. Unless Jokinen refused to sign in Calgary? But I never got that sense, he probably has said something along the lines of him loving Calgary and hoping to stay I am assuming.

ya i really like reinharts game, but with backlund, jankowski, and byron i can see reinhart being expendable although i think he is going to be better then byron and maybe backlund unless he really steps it up this year.

Backlund will be moved before Reinhart. Reinhart is an over-achiever and those are the players you want on your team. Jankowski is three years away from getting a chance in the NHL and probably five from really contributing, if he develops. Reinhart will make the jump some time this winter. Byron is minor league fodder. If the Flames can get something for him they should do just that, and fast. Of the players listed I would say that Reinhart has the greatest potential to make the biggest long term impact. He's skilled and can play in almost any situation. He also brings a great attitude and leadership. You don't give up players like Reinhart if you're trying to build a winner.
Grabo isn't just someone I would want to give up a lot of assets for. Not really a knock on him, he is not a bad player at all. We are just have a muddle of players and I don't see where he would fit, he would upgrade our centre core, but probably not worth the cost.
Also, I never want to trade with the Leafs again haha.ps but what is a ballpark for what Leaf's fans would want from the Flames? I always find relative values interesting
Toronto to Calgary is like Boston to Toronto as far as least desired trade partners.
I know , Kipper's only going to be around for 1 or 2 more
He is? How do you know that? Goalies have a much different shelf life than other players.
And I still wouldn't do it. Grabovski is not the type of centre we need, and Kipper single-handedly carried our team out of the basement last season. We're not giving up an elite goaltender for an overpaid 2nd line centre.
Please, keep Grabovski, we'll be happy NOT taking him and keeping Kipper instead. Sound fair?
