Semin going to Pittsburgh wouldn't really bother me. They need help on defense. Not offense. There is only one puck.....

Agreed Rangers would have to get more back. good young Forward and a 2nd? with Clowe for Dubi, Anisimov?

CLB should just do Dubi, AA, Erixon,Thomas for Nash but they are idiots

If he does sign w the Pens they will have four guys that can and should put up over 30 goals.

They are going to have a lot of 5-4 and 6-5 games lol

If Semin signs a 1-year-deal... **** my life.

Meanwhile we sign yet another bottom-6er in Jeff ****ing Halpern. Great offseason so far. ****ing terrible.

i wouldnt say its terrible, they needed to replace the guys that left, and they've done so by spending less money. they need to address the top 6 wingers and there's plenty of time to do so.

You need to work on your patience this offseason, we're 10 days into free agency. Is there a Barb Underhill of patience running some dry land clinics?

The market's shrinking everyday. Our biggest problem last season was our scoring. Yet we've done nothing to adress it. I would get Semin on a one-year-deal in a ****ing heartbeat. Talk about missing the boat if the rumour's true.

Agree. Same as if Philly landed Nash. Both have issues on D and in Philly's case between the pipes as well.

You say terrible. I say methodical and prudent.

We didn't get into this position of a young, homegrown core and organizational depth by overreacting. And it's a GOOD thing that Sather doesn't seem inclined to sacrifice all of the flexibility he's created in a single move. I think patience will pay off here.

If we start next season as we're currently comprised, we can revisit the conversation.

Wait...
Or when Jagr was taken off the market? Or Whitney? Or Hudler? Or if/when Semin gets taken off the market for a one-year-deal with a division-rival?

It takes 2 to tango. Look at it from Semin's point of view. If you were to sign a 1 year deal would it rather be with Richards/Gaborik or Crosby/Malkin (best player on the planet plus a fellow countryman).

It is these knee-jerk reactions that hurt franchises over the long-term. This years UFA crop was terrible outside of Parise and Suter. The trade market was supposed to be the major play and yet there have been very few trades. I would imagine GM's are trying to iron out some deals and that once one or two go through there will be a trickle down effect. There are a lot of teams that need things, not just the Rangers.

Fine. The offseasons's been great. Let's look at some bruisers and tweeners. Why have not adressed our toughness yet?!

I love the assumption that since they haven't made a deal, they've done nothing. Yup, Sather is just smoking cigars and fishing. Obviously not trying to make deals that are favorable to the Rangers.

You know, sometimes the deals just aren't there to be made, no matter how much you want them to be.

All of those guys would not fit in with the Rangers style. Would you like another Zherdev?

Whitney got 2 years at 40 years old!

Hudler wasn't re-signed by a Detroit team with A TON of cap space. Interesting message from the team who knows him best.

Once we play our first regular season game....if our team still looks like it does right now....I'll complain. Until then...you can't really say this has been a bad offseason until the offseason is over.

We're going to get our scorer. Papa Glen has us covered.
