Lundqvist is easily a lock right now, Zetterberg because of his versatility is probably getting close to that level as well. Anyone else I would be hesitant to call a lock - it would definitely depend on the management team. Don't forgot that Stamkos won the Rocket Richard in 2010 but was not part of Team Canada that year.

Dont forget that he hadnt won anything up until the olympics. If the OG was played the next season he wouldve been a lock.

I doubt it with so many great defensemen for Canada, but probably any other team.

Sedins, Karlsson, Lundqvist, Backstrom and Zetterberg would all easily make it. Guys like Eriksson, and some of their Dmen are harder to say.

Canada likes our defensemen to play defense.

Hence Mike Green not making the team after putting up 73 points and 31 goals (68 GP) the year before selection.

In addition to many of those previously mentioned I think Eriksson would have a good shot at making the team. Canada's natural wingers are not the strongest (tend to have several centres playing out of position), and Eriksson plays very well on both ends of the ice.
