STL Interested in Brenden Morrow + NYR, SJ, and LA
I don't think we'd want prospects in return. It'd most likely be a package deal for a top 4 roster d-man.
The Blues simply do not have a top 4 roster d-man to spare. It would make no sense IMO as Morrow doesn't fill a hole on the Blues trading a top 4 dman would create a hole.
just kidding. I would offer a 2nd and Strait from the pens.
Exactly how much more would we have to add for one of Morrow/Despres (I can't remember who's teammates w/ Pouliot, so whichever one isn't is who I want).
Oleksiak, Nemeth, and Larsen aren't moving in a trade like this, and I'd be reluctant to trade one of our better forward prospects, but they might be available.
Also, with GMJN's track record, the only real viable options are in the East. He asks for a much higher price from teams in the West (this has pretty much been proven), and has only made his major moves with Eastern teams.

Not the Blues, mate. I know you don't have a top 4 to give to us. I was talking wrt to teams that can afford us that.

Not sure that is a realistic return for Brendan Morrow at this point. If they want Morrow, they want Morrow, and they probably dont want to give up a good defender to get him.
Eh, I like his playstyle, but he just doesn't seem like the right fit for San Jose. I could see Wilson potentially overpaying for him, unfortunately, but he's not a top-6 guy anymore, and therefore I don't think he'd me of much help.
Morrow, it seems, is on the downside of his career and Dubinsky is coming off his worst professional season. Dubi and Jagr have great chemisty, and a change of location might get Morrow back on his game.
Colorado should be in on something like this.. We need a LW to play with Duchene, and with Hishon and some of our other guys needing spot NHL time Morrow missing a few games wouldn't be the end of the world.
(LH-D)Wilson + 2nd
Probably know a little about Wilson already. Physical all around guy with some offensive upside left to be explored. 21 points in 59 GP last season.
(LH-C)Sgarbossa + 3rd
Lead the OHL in scoring last season with 102 points, he needs to add some weight but he thrives off of physical play and puts up points. He wasn't drafted (signed by SJ) so there isn't a lot of hype about him. Seemed to be a product of being buried on good teams and used in checking roles until later in his junior career. He does have almost a point per game points percentage for most of his junior career regardless. (Turns 20 July, 25)

Wow, that's a lot of "connect the dots." IMO, Morrow still has a lot to offer and would make the most sense on a younger team on the rise. In that sense, I'm not sure I see St Louis a a match, although there is he Armstrong connection. He's look great on say Edmonton.

Much more sense on a team looking to find the right piece to win (considering, he decides where he wants to go). That, however, depends on whether Morrow can recover from his injury and play in the manner that makes him valuable to such a team.
Lombardi loves players coming off of an injured season and I can see him offering someone like Hickey.
This is probably likely the type of offer, assuming this interest is actually true. But I'm not even sure I see how Morrow fits into this current Kings roster. He's UFA, I think after this year, just like Penner and Gagne. Unless Brown moves back to RW, I just don't see squeezing in another older guy into the mix. I understand the Doan interest, but he's been healthier than Morrow and Gagne of late.

Fair enough. I won't limit the guy. He'd probably help any number of teams. Is he the missing link? Probably not.
