People who are harping on Melnick, Tony, the morning guys, etc. - you have no idea how good you have it. The quality of guests, interviews and content on TSN 990 was far, far above anything we've currently got in Toronto. By miles.

There's actualy a lot, and there is three owned by Bell, CJAD, CHOM and another one i don't remember the name.

CHOM isn't an AM station. I asked about English AM stations.

I was very happy I moved to Ontario to get away from all this BS.

Like I said, most of the haters are guys who can't stand the criticism of their favorite team. It's the same reason why everyone cheered when PJ moved on. Yeah, he wasn't exactly a professor in English, but he was funny and entertaining.

Even if it started this year, I'm not sure they'd air some french habs games since Cogeco has the rights for the Habs games. Don't quote me on that though but I think there would be no habs games

Habs games on CJAD. TSN 990 will continue until the CRTC approves the switch which can take a while.

Assuming there even is a season, which isn't confirmed yet, (In all likelihood it'll be a short one due to a strike or another full season lockout) the games will air on TSN 990. They will go back to CJAD for the 2013-2014 season.

I'm french and always listened to team 990 instead of the idiots over at CKAC 730, this is a sad day.

Loved to listen to it on my way to work every morning with guests like Mckenzie and Dregger, it's better than Michel Bergeron and all...
