Absolutely and I wouldn't imagine that happening at all, but it's just as easy to speculate that as it is Nash scoring 100 goals here and Dubi and Anisimov or Hagelin retiring to join the circus.

Obviously we're somewhere in the middle of those two outcomes but it's really hard to see where exactly.

Would you trade Chris Kreider straight up for Bobby Ryan?

They all feel Henrietta is a great player on his own rather than a guy who benefitted from those around him.

Devils fans are clueless.

This.

I think Kreider has much more gamebreaking potential to be a star than Henrique, but they both hold the same amount of weight in their respective organizations when it comes to trades. He's their best young talent.

I wouldn't either if I was a debbie fan. Would you trade Kreider straight up for Ryan? I wouldn't, and Kreider has accomplished significantly less than Henrique has to this point.

Henrique just put up 51 points in 74 games as a rookie. Ryan put up 57 points in 82 games.

Ryan scored 31 goals and Henrique only had 16, but Ryan's cap hit is 6 times as much.

People get so enamored over goals. Henrique is more valuable to the devils than Ryan would be.

If you could get Nash for Dubinsky + Hagelin + prospect (not Miller) + pick, you do it 10/10 times.

You can't really blame them. Henrique is a stud.

Are people here really comparing Henrique to Kreider?

Not Hagelin I don't. Getting slower shouldn't be this team's goal.

Kreider has a long way to go to catch up to Henrique.

Nash isn't exactly slow, and we also have Kreider... Nash replacing Hagelin is a no brainer from the Rangers POV and maybe Dubinsky could be replaced by Miller, or vice versa.

If Henrique is a stud, Derek Stepan is our next franchise player. Henrique scored 50 points next to two of the best players in the game for a ton of the season.

I don't trade Stepan for Henrique.

I think they are pretty even, but slight edge to Henrique since he was a beast in the playoffs and seems like more of a natural leader.

He will easily when he gets the minutes and games. Henrique got his shot because Tedenby and Josefson sucked so badly. NJ didn't have a choice but to play him.

Here's my prediction.

Everyone will see Risk Nash at his best this coming season.

I believe that will be true even if he plays for CBJ.

If he needed additional motivation (or soul searching) the Gm's in the NHL are doing Nash a favor. Nash is discovering his worth to the league and it isn't in the Super elite realm. If you want that recognition you have to put up super numbers.

I believe he'll be traded soon but I wouldn't be stunned if he starts next season with CBJ. I'm not sure the animosity couldn't be repaired? Nash has proven himself to be loyal if nothing else. He seems to be interested in not hurting the CBJ franchise. I can't say all players would remain quiet during the process?

I believe the off seasons trade rumors will motivate him to take his game to a very high level. Top players play for pride. I expect to see Rick Nash's best game next season.

Only one question... For whom?

Hagelin's utility becomes limited when he is buried on the 3rd line.

Henrique got his shot because he played himself on the team during the season. He was a Calder Trophy candidate and Kovy/Parise started producing when he was added to that line.

History doesn't really support your hypothesis at all. Players that age tend to decline, and all this "motivation" talk is just wishful thinking, santeria, and voodoo.

Which is exactly what third and fourth liners are for: to be puck possession monsters and forechecking demons.
