The Oilers have plenty of young d-men now. Schultz, Klefbom, Smid, Petry, Marincin, Gernat, Tuebert, etc.

They don't even need Larsson as a right handed shot on the PP anymore with the signing of Schultz, who quite honestly probably has more offensive upside than Adam Larsson. Larsson is better defensively most likely, but Oscar Klefbom brings a lot of those same elements to the table too.

I doubt the Devils would've taken Larsson no.1 overall. They would've taken Nugent Hopkins or Landeskog like pretty much any other team.
Uh, no we wouldn't have. Larsson was always Number 1 on our list, from November till the end of the season. We have scoring, we needed defense.

When Tambellini had the chance to draft Larsson, Gudbranson, Murray, Reinhart but didn't and instead drafted the Best Player Available? THAT guy has more value than Taylor Hall, the guy that scored 53 points?

Are you even on the same planet?
18 points as an 18/19 year old rookie defenseman. Also, that third name you listed, isn't even in the damn NHL yet, so why include him? BTW, comparing forward point totals to defenseman? Ummm, i guess you can do that if it "helps" your argument.

Larsson has a good chance at developing into a solid NHL defender, but he will never be half the player Hall is now, or in the future.
What in God's name? No ****ing ****. He was drafted the year before and HE'S A FORWARD!

Hall-Henrique would be sick.

I think I'll try to get Hall in NHL 13 BeAGM Mode.

Shots blocked, defensive zone starts, height, and weight too! While we're cherry-picking stats..

Don't forget about TOI, number of autographs signed, shoe size, and cumulative GPA.

Sorry if you thought I was being serious, it was a joke... He picked three completely subjective categories and two others that Hall obviously has. I guess I should have added another sarcasm smiley to my post, my bad.

Don't mind him, he seems to have taken extreme offense to that Erik Johnson comparison...

I'm not going to argue over value, but comparing a forward and a defenseman based on points is terrible logic especially at the age they are.
