Probably. That seems to be the way it goes.

Clearly, this is why Lou doesn't want to get rid of Cam.
He's got Marty's number

Maybe Boulton won't score though. Pandolfo, and Rolston didn't when we played the Isles though Pandolfo did break Jacob's wrist.

Gomez luckily didn't score on us, but Marty made a big save on him one game, and that was before he broke his year long drought.

Danny Briere did score his first goal in like 24 games on us, but it was an empty net.

I know this sounds bad, that was a blessing in disguise. Had Josefson not gotten injured, we don't have Stephen Gionta up and him teaming up with Bernier and Carter.

Josefson getting injured also brought us the gift of Henrique.

His bones are brittle, but they're magic.

Maybe he'll get injured in camp and Matteau will make the team and score 20 goals.

Let me get this straight.......

http://www.capgeek.com/players/display.php?id=707

If you add in Eric Boulton's cap charge for the next two years, we are wasting $912,500 and $1,000,000 in cap space over the next two years for a guy who will play 40 games, have 10 fights and never sniff the ice in the playoffs?

The world is collapsing around Lou.

While the cap is 70 Million and we are spending 60 Million, cap space is completely irrelevant. The real dollars however may very well be an issue.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
Devils finally announce Krys Barch signing, which happened last Thursday.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
In case you missed it, Barch signed for 2 years, $750K for each season.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice
Yes, full one-way contract for Barch. RT @mrstraightfire: @TGfireandice Both year one-ways?

The Devils still made the playoffs pretty comfortably last year with a guy like Barch on the team. And as soon as Deboer found better options, Boulton was up in the box. It's really nothing to worry about.

The salary does seem high, and I still don't particularly like the signing, but whatever. Jim is right, we are in no danger of having cap problems, and I'm sure Lou knows the money situation better than we do.

Will there be a Carter-Bernier-Gionta-Barchless line hopefully still?

Eric Boulton. The deal with the Islanders was only one year right?

George Parros?

You have to be able to play 2 minutes a game, for about 35 games. Also, be a GREAT locker room guy. And might have to hold Kovy's bags on plane trips, since he will be double shifted in your place. If you can take that deal, you got a 2 year deal. We will buy you out after the first year though.

Jim McKenzie. He was the last guy to do a good job in the role!

I think Bernier will be bumped up to the third line and Barch will play with Gionta and Carter. We'll see if Lou makes any moves to get a third line winger.

Mike Rupp. We all know Lou loves to bring back former players.
