Oh here we go again... Morrow...

For Alfie's sake, we practically gave away a younger cheaper better winger. Why would management or any of you have interest in him?

Better winger than who? Are you saying Foligno is better than Morrow?

Yeah Morrow is so good, that's why they bumped him off Ribeiro's wing. Morrow is so good, that's why he got beat out of a top 6 spot by Ott. Morrow is so good, they spent 9M on a 40 year old LW. necessary? He's their 3rd liner and they intend to keep him there unless they move him.

Wait, did someone actually say Foligno is better than Brenden Morrow?

Sounds like somebody took too many "homer pills" this morning...

But of course, as usual, people will just ignore facts like this and the fact Foligno significantly outscored Morrow. zomg, it's Brendan Morrow!!1!!!

Morrow was hurt last year and has a career PPG higher than Foligno anyways. Not to mention a gold medal in the most recent Olympics, but go ahead and keep thinking Foligno is awesome.

Morrow has 5 seasons over 20 goals, 2 30 goal seasons and Foligno has 0 of either of those two mentioned categories, as in, he's never scored 20 goals in a season once.

And where exactly did I say Foligno had a better career than Morrow?

Relax buddy Foligno has never scored 20 goals before, and this is the first season he has passed 40 points.

Quoting yourself does not make Foligno better than Morrow. Morrow is getting up there in age, but he brings a real physicality that Foligno never had. He also scores goals. 7 20 goal seasons versus Foligno's 0 20 goal seasons. Morrow would be a great fit on either Spezza or Turris' wing.

He had an off year, give the guy a break it happens especially later in a career. But he most definitely still the player who put 33 goals and 55 points a couple seasons ago. If he's healthy, he will absolutely smash Foligno in production. If he stays on Dallas he would be in their top 6. Ryder would be the guy who would most likely get bumped down. There is no way you disrespect your captain like that. If they're so down on him why not just name someone else captain, you know like that Benn guy? This is not a Dave Anderchuyk case, he'll be contributing for the next few years.

And as a 24 year old, why exactly do you expect to not top 40 points again?

Morrow on the other hand is in clear decline, and is a safer bet to never score 40 points again.

Dallas fans dislike him. He's not the leader you all think he is. He doesn't provide the offense you all think he does. A team on a budget should not invest in that type of contract.

7 seasons over 20 goals.

Saying that Foligno is better than Morrow because he scored more points this past year is like saying Jeff Friesen was better than Brett Hull because Friesen outscored him in 1999-00.

You are contradicting yourself.

So as a 33 year old, why exactly do you expect him to never score 40 points again? Players have off years.

Your love and adoration for Foligno is admirable.

Are you actually serious here? So you're looking at ONE season for your entire argument. The guy had 33 goals two seasons ago and played in ALL 82 games, and the year before that he had 20 goals in 76 games.

Why are you hating on a guy so much because he was injured and Dallas was an average team? Benn, Eriksson and Ribiero were the only ones with decent stats, Ryder was alright but he's one dimensional. Oh and Ribiero had a good year and they still traded him.

Come on please get with it...

Quoting myself has nothing to do with this.

Did you watch the Sens this year? Foligno not physical?

There is no way, no way, Ryder gets bumped for Morrow. omg. He had 35 goals. Morrow is LW, behind Whitney and Eriksson. Morrow is 3rd line and won't produce much anymore.

I could see them rotating Morrow and Ryder actually. Morrow brings more the table and isin't a one dimensional offensive type guy. 35 goal seasons are nice, but what else does Ryder bring to the table??
