Tied again at 29.

If the tie gets broken I may have to make some dummy accounts to tie it again.

This is for 2 and 3 right? There's no way anyone is contending with one of these two for 2/3

Why? What if all the Etem voters choose holland over Vatanen next? Or if the people who feel holland over etem have vatanen ranked higher than etem and they choose him now but next round they feel holland is higher. It's stupid to automatically assume.

I really don't think it's stupid. It's this close isn't it?

You're missing the point. Just because this vote is close doesn't make either of these guys a lock over holland, Lindholm, DSP or whoever they feel. They are forced to choose in this poll on these 2 only regardless if they feel someone is ranked higher.

I'm an example of this. I believe Holland should be ranked higher than Vatanen so if Etem wins my next vote will go towards Holland not Vatanen

Whatever. Let's make a vote for #3 just so we can see Etem win by a 75-80% vote.

Yep, I'd vote Lindholm over Etem and this at least takes a few minutes of boredom out of my day.

I voted for Lindholm to be #2. I would vote for him at #3; not the winner between these two.

Wow, this was a close one! Vatanen wins barely. I'm going to put up the next poll in few minutes.

I hope that both have an easy transition to the NHL, but I have to say that I think Vatanen will be able to pull a 40 point season already next season with outstanding defense, and I don't see Etem doing that just yet. Maybe next year as he is a year younger, but then again, Vatanen is a D.

(Also just as a reminder Etem has played 12 WJC games and had 5 points in them with a minus 1 rating. Vatanen had the same amount of games and 9 points in them with a plus 9 rating so you can't think that Vatanen has good stats only because he plays in a questionable league)
i think the argument can be made the FEL the 5th best NHL KHL SEL AHL/FEL and i do see the adjustment from the pro league FEL as bigger than that too Etem, who imo is physically NHL ready and not like Cogs as some have said else where, Etem has skills you dont score that many points without good hands and shot and offensive instinct, he just needs tactical coaching Sami needs to learn his game over again and found out what he can do what he cant do , learn a new culture towards the game and style of play what happens to him when he get a big hit, he tiny and never had to deal with the physicality of NA players David Rundblad i much better prospect OEL a much better prospect all had to adjust and did not just come over he has a mauch largeer Bust potential than Etem

Sami's home rink in Jyväskylä is 28 meters x 60 meters so that might help him to adjust. And the bigger offensive zone will just help his game on PP.

I guess the issue here is whether Vatanen can handle the bigger NHL forwards in his own end. I don't see a problem skill-, speed- or hockey-IQ-wise. But he needs to add grinding power.

I really hope they (Emerson Etem and Sami Vatanen) both pan out and make the top 4 /
top 6 this or the next season.

Same can be said with Etem being a Southern California boy. People will have their reasonings; lets just hope it's hockey related.
