Dominated possession? Sure. But that game never should have been that close.

Edu-Bradley-Jones as our midfield looked pretty lousy. Two of them is fine, but we need someone who can play the ball forward and make things happen offensively. We tried that Barcelona "walk the ball into the net" crap and it didn't work. We didn't work the wide areas of the field well at all. Onyewu has completely lost his mobility.

If we play like that against Guatemala at Mateo Flores, I highly doubt we come away with a win.

I hate it when I'm right.

That was awful. With a night's sleep to think about it, it was still awful. Edu was putrid, and has been for both games. Several guys looked spent in the last 10 minutes. A six-year-old could have reffed a better game, and that's before you get to the hilariously blown advantage call where Altidore would have made it 2-0 and put the game beyond all doubt.

We need offense in the midfield for the two games with Jamaica, and we need it badly. Feilhaber, Zusi, Kljestan, somebody, anybody. Watching Edu have no idea what to do with the ball is like watching a 2-on-1 with Smithson and McGrattan.

Griffin is awesome, and he's a really great guy to have on the team. Probably not $7M good, but the Titans aren't hurting for cap room, and their secondary is really young with the departure of Finnegan. The whole defense is young actually.

If Derrick Morgan can finally step up, I like him, Griffin and Colin McCarthy to be the faces of the defense.

As a White Sox fan, that has been a very favorable deal for the pale hose.

I like Plaster. Seems to be the hip and cool thing to do is hate him. Fact is, we are posting on a Hamilton Predator message board if not for him. Cut the guy some slack.

He's very arrogant and loves the sound of his own voice. But let's face it that makes for good radio. See Clay Travis

Sorry, count me in the haters (strong phrase for me to).
The guy is pompous and extremely self-centered. In the past he has made a habit of closing down discussion of anything other than what he wants to talk about. And if that sometimes drives the topic on to hockey for a while, great. But I mean, they have callers for a reason, right?

I had actually thought the general sportstalk radio scene was much better without him. I know he was a player in the franchise saving act earlier. And he pretty much made the market for it here. But knowing he is coming back to the Game will pretty much ruin that station for me.

The landscape of Vanderbilt athletics is much different than it was 9 years ago. Most of their programs have grown a lot in that time and it probably needs a full-time AD now.

It's not like Gee isn't just as bad, jumping ship for a football driven school like Ohio State.

Hopefully Vandy sports continue to grow and succeed even more. Though Williams was still overseeing things without the AD title before, so I'm not sure that anyone will notice any difference other than maybe the coaches will have slightly more contact with him.

well, the inside politics of what williams did 9 years ago to oust turner as AD and eliminate that position still rankle a lot of vandy alum... there's a lot of dislike for him
