Come on, weather, chill the **** out already.

Wonder when the storm that doesn't exist yet will hit us tomorrow?

Still no power at home. It's only been a week. Happy times.

Thats really awful, Mike! We got ours back on Tuesday evening, but just got cable and Internet, today. Can't imagine how you're dealing with a week of it!

Please accept my sincerest sympathies. I simply cannot imagine having to deal with the issues you are certainly encountering.

Things to do with no power.

- Go to the air conditioned office, start the work week early.
- Clean the fridge and freezer. I was out of town when the storms came through, so everything had a week to ferment.
- Sleep in the basement. Kinda like camping.

I haven't done it yet, but I may start trolling NYR fans. Clearly madness is setting in.

Mine was only out for 6 hours

-Do the dishes. You can take my power, but you can't take my water!
-Cook on the grill.
-Read with help from a book light

Glad I didn't have to clean fridge full of gnarly food.

Our normal trash day is Friday, and was pushed back to Saturday this week.

That meant that, once our power came back on last weekend, that the rotting food had to stay in the fridge until this morning in order to be disposed of.

Personally, I feel bad for the trash collectors. It's blazing hot again, and all this week they've been lugging trash that's obscenely heavy because everyone's tossing food.

Somehow, my power never went out, but all the neighborhoods around me just got power back two days ago. I feel for you guys without it still, can't imagine what its like being nearly 100 degrees every day. Head down to the ice haus for dev camp, will be nice and chilly in there.

I can't remember it being this hot for such a long period of time.

Today's paper: July, 1938, six days straight of 100+ temps.

No, I don't remember it (smartasses)!

But, but, the only reason its so hot is because of global warming! Right!?

Global warming is the result, not the reason. Ask the right question: what is causing global warming? We know temps are up, globally, the question I think you're trying to pose is, why? And how much are we to blame?

My answers:

I don't know and...

I don't know.

I am resisting the urge to comment on the global warming thing... so instead:

I am cleaning and packing for my next move, and I noticed I have 4 copies of von Däniken's "Chariots of the Gods" in 3 languages. No idea how that happened. Unless.........

Flash is a major component of the film.

Ted is not a good film, but there's enough jokes to make it a good enough one-time watcher. And dat Mila Kunis...

Moonrise Kingdom, though...overrated. Wes Anderson is quirky. I think I get it by now.

At least you aren't a depressed, detached adult character like every adult character in most of Anderson's films, Kalio. I like your fire and spirit!

But I am droll, wearing an ascot and listening to obscure French pop on a record player ...

Temps in the 90s. A/C at home and at work broken. I feel like I'm just a few sweaty days away from snapping and becoming Micheal Douglas in Falling Down.

You know, Ted could've been good, but they tried turning a movie about an offensive stuffed bear into a chick flick. WHY?!
