10 days into FA, I think someone has called all of them at some point.

Well...I think he was "Plan D" for me...but under a mil bumps it up to about a "7" on the GMGM approval scale.

I'm good with that signing. Low risk, high reward. Very talented, maybe the "light" will come on in DC.

Pretty much. I said it here FWIW.

$600k cap hit per Vogel.

And there's the Wolski signing...I think Langway called it in a mock post days ago!

In the vein of a Boyes "at that price, why not?" I like it. Then again I've always liked the player more than most, I imagine.

Seriously, though, at that price the only downside to this is if they use it as an excuse to avoid bringing in someone better that they can clearly make a deal with (for the sake of $$ or whatever).

For $600K, Wojtek Wolski just has to not murder someone on the ice for #Caps to get positive value. ~$500K is NHL min

Actually thought Wolski did okay when the Cats picked him up from the Rangers.

Exactly. Even if the guy fails out and is a 30 pt bum...it's a million bucks.

Getting Wolski for even cheaper is a pretty big steal though. So I guess I'm meh on not getting Boyes.

Agree with the majority. It's a very good depth signing, and a terrible signing if he's projected to be top 6.
