Listen, If I think McPhee is dumpster diving and making a mistake, it gives you no right to attack me in this manner. We all have different opinions.

Ha! Per Mirtle, it's believed to be a two-way deal.

two thoughts.

1. this is essentially a tryout contract.
2. wolski=willsie

Hey TED, you've lost some business now. No new shirt this year. If you don't want to create a proper team, you won't be getting my interest.

True, but IMO it's good dumpster diving. There is a distinction to be made between good and bad diving.

Sure, I'm just frustrated at McPhee's strategy.

We just need to play for the tie. Bring back Dale.

In the Caps version, Jonah Hill can play offseason Backstrom.

If you are a Bears fan, we are loading up on fringe NHL players who could dominate in the A.

Don't know about good or bad, but this is the GMGM we know. I'm indifferent to the signing, nothing to throw a fit over.

A player thats 80/20 in the sink/swim ratio, but at the same time, cheap as ****. Rinse and repeat.

I am going on record right now to say he scores 15+ at the NHL level (assuming no major injuries/time missed).

$600K, 2-way deal? Fine by me. Also, didn't realize Wolski was such a big guy. 6'3" 215 lbs. according to Vogel.

Don't expect him to play big.

@ 600k, possibly a two-way deal? Nice signing.

The bottom six is shaping up to be quite solid. The top six needs another guy who can score. This is a good move, provided it's not the only one coming.

Good value, good signing. Potential to step in with the high skill guys and contribute. If not, no harm.

He has to be setting up something. Just waiting for the right deal/time.

I keep telling myself that.

Bobby Ryan Bobby Ryan Bobby Ryan Bobby Ryan Bobby Ryan Bobby Ryan...

Hell, who knows? Someone with 20+ goals in him, in a safe and not a best-case-scenario sense, would do it for me.

Right now, it's barely OK, but only provided everything goes right for too many bit parts. If you assume that the usual disappointment/injury quotient is met, they're still short.

I'm starting to think Ribeiro is the only significant upgrade this offseason, and othewise the team is content to wait for Kuz and Forsberg. Ovie will be 29 when Kuz comes over (assuming he does in two years), Backstrom will be what, 27? Alzner and Carlson will still be in their mid-20s, Holtby and Neuvy will be too...

Maybe they're holding tight for now.

I don't think they're done. I don't think they're entering the CBA negotiations as a cap team either. Somewhere in the middle seems to be the plan.

Zilch complaints about the Wolski signing. The guy is still young. Hopefully hitting what may appear to be rock bottom is enough motivation for him to find consistency in his game - let me clarify - consistently good. LOL

For the price I just can't complain.

Wait, so they are waiting until Kuz to come over, which he may never do? Even if he does, how do you know if he could even fit into the NHL game quickly. Then you'll be waiting 2 to 3 years for Forsberg to mature, I assume. Then we have an over 30 Ovie, most likely with his best days behind him. Sounds very risky and I'm not sure I like the sound of this plan.
