I would just like to point out that I did a Sim on my NHL 12 with all updated rosters. (Parise on the Wild) etc etc.

And fielding a team lineup of

Marleau - Thornton - Havlat
Clowe - Pavelski - Couture
Galiardi - Sheppard - Doan
Desjardins - Wingels - Burish

Vlasic - Burns
Stuart - Boyle
Murray - Demers
Braun

Niemi

The sharks won the Stanley Cup in game 7 at home against Toronto!!!!! Take that CANADA!!!

As a fun sidenote we be the Minnesota Wild in 6 Games in the WCF. Seto scoring 5 goals lit us up.

Basically lets sign Doan, its fate!!!

Oh and Marleau scored a 3rd period cup clinching goal assisted from Thornton, fittingly so.

I will never ask to trade Marleau!

I hope we realistically have a chance Doan is a loyal guy so it might be a challenge but if we did that would be as big as the time we acquired JT and later Boyle.

if we get doan we could trade clowe for a speedy 2nd/3rd line tweener giving us a solid 3rd line of tj stud wingels - not bad. 4th line is a rotating mess of filler inc burish, des, pylon, etc.

If we get Doan im pretty sure that would take Pavs off the wing because we have Havlat too. So it looks like Pavs is your stud.

If the Sharks are planning on keeping Clowe there is no room for Doan

nah, if we get doan we trade clowe, so we need to keep pavs top 6 imo. also tmac and dw have emphatically said they odnt like pavs as the 3rd line c. we need to trade clowe to get under the cap so we off him for a fast speedy solid 3rd liner who can play 2nd line in a pinch.

marleau jt doan
havlat couture pavs
tj stud wingels

I've discussed trading Clowe for Lars Eller in the past. I'd pull the trigger on that. He's a very good young #3C. (Presuming we sign Doan).

Presently looking like the Coyotes may have life yet in the desert. The City of Glendale has rejected the the petition against raising the sales tax due to a technicality on the forms used to collect the signatures. I don't fully understand the whole legal issues but it now looks like there will not be a tax challenge in Nov.

Doan will probably resign with Coyotes on the 17th

Good.

I'd love to have Doan, but it would just be weird.

but niemi won't win the smythe.

^^^ Holy ****.

Couldn't care less about the minutia. I just want to keep an excellent division rival right where they are. Besides, I already got an old Jets and Nordiques jersey in the closet. Can't beat those.

i just don't care right now either just kill the coyotes off, or find them an owner that will own the team for longer then 5 years and who doesn't care about losing millions upon millions of dollars in doing so.

because if they don't find an owner that can litterally last 5 years of losing millions of dollars then we will just be in this same boat 5 years down the road.

Can somebody please explain to me why the NHL is so hell bent on keeping the Coyotes in Phoenix? I don't understand it, it doesn't make sense.

I live here in Phoenix. From San Jose. Been here since the Coyotes arrived here.

The organization made such a HUGE mistake venturing west of downtown. Sure the land was cheap but that was the only upside.

The west side of Phoenix (i.e. Peoria, Glendale, etc.) is working class community. People make enough to live on. The fans who have the disposable income shy away from the 40+ minute drive each way to watch the Coyotes play.

If Scottsdale had approved the arena plans this team would be flourishing. Instead the team plays to so many empty seats each night.

Location, location, location!

Game 7 against the Leafs?!?! That must be the first time NHL12 has been buttbackwards!
