Really liking this. Hopefully he can stay healthy and prove himself here. And hopefully if he does show he can be awesome, we can sign him longer term, but thats looking far into the future. Just stoked to have this guy.

Plan the parade!
But seriously, I really like this signing. Good price, and it's not long term.

With it only being a 1 year deal, he might be holding down the 2C fort for us until Bjugstad is ready.

I think the folks at UMinn are rejoicing.
I'm thinking that this likely means Bjugstad is going back to school.

This really caught me of guard. I like it if it's true.

Sup guys, Avs fan checking in. Glad Muels went to a place that's easy to cheer for haha.
But just so you know, he is a winger. Hasn't played center at all in the NHL with Phoenix/Colorado. Don't really imagine he'd be a good centermen either since he's pretty slow and not that aware defensively. Has a bomb of a shot and a wicked wrister. Put him with Flash and it could be magical.
Best of luck guys!

Isn't Mueller a RW?

Ah, if Mueller is a RW then Bjugs could still be a possibility.

I mistakenly thought he was a center. This is a good high risk, high reward move we need to make, especially at this price. He has top 6 potential if he can stay healthy.

Ha, not really. This is a high risk, optimistically high reward move. It's like a new Wolki, imo.

He's gonna do damage on the Powerplay. He's got a wicked one-timer. He would probably slot in on the 2nd unit where Versteeg would hang out -- off to the side at the faceoff dot. He also played the point some of the time in Colorado while on the PP. So he COULD be used there, but i don't see Dineen going with 4 forwards on the PP.

Hmm doubt it. Mueller doesn't play C. It is a 1 year prove yourself contract. If he does well I am sure Tallon will work to re-sign. Much like what he said about Wolski when he came to town.

This could work out great for you guys if Muels is
A) back to game shape
B) No longer has those pesky concussion problems. Also make sure that you don't have him under bright lights
If he gets past those two, you guys will have a gem.

How is it high risk? Only 1 year at $1.75.

EVeryone on the main boards says the same thing. Here's to hoping him and Upshall can stay healthy.

He's a hit away from retiring.

Why not? He put Sammy on the point.

So is Crosby. But we didn't just sign him for 12 years, now did we?
